Di solito passiamo accanto al Ravenel Bridge, un punto fermo di Charleston e il ponte strallato più lungo del Nord America.
Passiamo accanto alla potente portaerei USS Yorktown che fu trasformata in un museo nel 1976 dopo aver prestato servizio nella seconda guerra mondiale, nella guerra di Corea e nella guerra del Vietnam. Accanto alla USS Yorktown si trova il cacciatorpediniere USS Laffey, soprannominato "La nave che non morirebbe".
A volte possiamo navigare vicino a Fort Sumter dove furono sparati i primi colpi della Guerra Civile che segnarono l'inizio ufficiale della guerra.
