Per esperienza, questa è un'opportunità unica per visitare tutti questi luoghi, non sarebbe possibile farlo da soli. Vi lascerò in tutti i monumenti, vi aspetterò dopo ogni visita, vi accompagnerò alla visita successiva e così via. Non impongo un limite di tempo per la visita di ogni monumento, dipenderà da voi. Questo è il primo monumento da visitare, ci vuole circa 1: 30h per visitarlo. Ti aspetto per il prossimo monumento. Il Palazzo Nazionale di Queluz, noto anche come Palazzo Reale di Queluz, è una residenza reale portoghese, nel comune di Sintra, che fu costruito come tale tra il 1747 e il 1760 su progetto dell'architetto Jean-Baptiste Robillon e per volere del principe Pietro (Pedro) III (1717-1786) marito della regina Maria I (1734-1816) che trasformò una preesistente residenza di campagna. Chiamata la "Versailles del Portogallo", la reggia era utilizzata soprattutto come luogo di intrattenimento della famiglia reale: vi si svolgevano concerti, corride e fuochi d'artificio, soprattutto in occasione di feste religiose o altri eventi. La regina Maria I visse qui per molti anni, ma per il resto il palazzo non era molto frequentato dalla famiglia reale. È ancora utilizzato per concerti e come luogo di accoglienza per i capi di stato stranieri, ospita anche la Scuola portoghese di arte equestre. Il biglietto costa 10 euro

La storia mostra che a partire dal 5.000 a.C. ci fu l'occupazione di quest'area da parte delle comunità neolitiche, grazie a oggetti rimasti fino ad oggi che dimostrano questo fatto. Nel 1200 a.C. vi era anche un villaggio in questo luogo, che ha lasciato numerosi frammenti di ceramica. Nell'VIII secolo iniziò la conquista musulmana di Al-Andalus nel territorio iberico. Nel X secolo fu fondato il castello, amministrato dal califfato di Cordoba. Nel 1147 terminò la dominazione araba del castello, grazie alla conquista di Lisbona da parte di D. Afonso Henriques. Nel 1287, D. Dinis dona la città di Sintra alla regina Santa Isabel. Nel 1995 il Castello e la Serra de Sintra sono stati classificati dall'UNESCO come Paesaggio Culturale - Patrimonio dell'Umanità. Nel 2007 inizia la riabilitazione del Castello, già in possesso del Parques de Sintra e nel 2013 il Castello apre al pubblico, con riforme e adattamenti per i visitatori. il biglietto costa 8eur
In questo monumento visiterai gli splendidi giardini e il Palazzo. Costruito dopo il 1840 da Maria II di Braganza (1819-1853), come dono di nozze per suo marito, il re Ferdinando II del Portogallo (noto anche come Ferdinando II di Sassonia-Coburgo-Gotha; 1819-1885), sulle rovine di un Convento Gerosolimitan del XV secolo e progettato dall'architetto e barone tedesco Ludwig von Eschwege, il palazzo è sotto la protezione dell'UNESCO, da cui è stato incluso nel patrimonio dell'umanità (come l'intero centro storico di Sintra) nel 1995, e il 7 Nel luglio 2007 è stato eletto una delle 7 meraviglie del Portogallo. Splendido palazzo e cappella in stile romantico immersi in un parco con laghi, grotte, pozzi e fontane. Costruita da Carvalho Monteiro all'inizio del secolo come residenza privata, la tenuta è rimasta in mani private fino a quando non è stata acquistata dal Comune nel 1997 Con l'aiuto dell'architetto italiano Luigi Manini, iniziò a trasformare la villa e la proprietà circostante nell'affascinante luogo che vediamo oggi. È difficile immaginare che un edificio di queste dimensioni e sfarzo fosse, fino a tempi recenti, una residenza privata piuttosto che un palazzo reale. La proprietà di quattro ettari è interessante quanto il palazzo. Combina giardini formali con boschi selvaggi attraversati da sentieri, ponti decorati, grotte, laghi, cascate e fontane, il tutto incastonato tra felci giganti e alberi di sequoia americana. I motivi ospitano anche una serie di tunnel sotterranei e due grandi pozzi che un tempo erano presumibilmente utilizzati nelle cerimonie di iniziazione esoteriche. il biglietto costa 8eur

Cabo da Roca è il punto più occidentale del Portogallo continentale e il Capo più occidentale dell'Europa continentale. Si trova nella parrocchia di Colares, comune di Sintra. Il sito è visitabile, non all'estremo ma fino ad un'area a 140 m di altitudine. Il promontorio forma l'estremità occidentale della Serra de Sintra, precipitando nell'Oceano Atlantico. Luís Vaz de Camões lo ha descritto come il luogo "Dove finisce la terra e inizia il mare" (in Os Lusíadas, Canto III). [1] Un motivo in pietra con una targa segna questa caratteristica geografica a tutti coloro che visitano questo luogo. La sua flora è varia e, in molti casi, ha specie uniche, essendo oggetto di numerosi studi che si estendono anche alla geomorfologia, tra gli altri. Nella zona c'è un faro (Farol do Cabo da Roca). Si trova nel Parco Naturale di Sintra-Cascais, in una zona di facile accesso e con un grande flusso turistico, con molte persone che lo visitano. La domenica è consuetudine incontrare diversi gruppi di motociclisti. Entrata libera

Antonio was absolutely amazing! He made our tour of Sintra one of the highlights of our entire trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the area. Antonio was a great tour guide, communicated extremely well before and during the tour. He planned an action packed day for us and we got to see way more than we would have ever seen on our own. The only criticism is that it was probably a bit too ambitious for our family with 3 kids... He was very open to modifying the tour to suit our particular needs and all of his suggestions were spot on! I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing! I have not one negative thing to say about this tour. Antonio was the best. He goes above and beyond to make your trip wonderful. He will plan the tour for you, or if you have places that you want to see, he will take you there. I wish we would have had more time. We visited places that would just not have been easy to do on our own. If I ever make it back to Portual, I will be reaching out for his assistance.

I've traveled the world and always use tour guides to introduce each destination, but this was the best. Antonio went above and beyond my expectations to craft the ideal Sintra experience. We visited multiple sites, hiked, and added visits I didn't think of taking, but I'm glad we did. This includes returning along the beautiful west coast beaches instead of the highway. He was easy to travel with, very knowledgeable, and enjoys showing the best of Portugal. I booked this private tour with Antonio based solely on all of his incredible reviews - and they were not wrong! Antonio is an incredible host, guide and tour operator. He is punctual, thoughtful, warm, and overflowing with deep knowledge of the history and facts of all of the stops along the way. We were also able to take advantage of his "insider" connections and familiarity with the various landmarks - he knew what times were less busy, we were able to skip line ups, and stop at the best shops for coffee, treats, photo ops and souvenirs. Antonio's van is perfectly equipped and immaculately maintained. He offered bottles of water throughout the day, and the air conditioning provided a much needed reprieve between stops. I would recommend this tour to absolutely anyone, of any age (as long as physical mobility isn't an issue - there are a tonne of steps and stairs!), that is visiting Lisbon - don't miss out on Sintra and Portugal's incredible coastline. Antonio packed everything in that we wanted to see, and was happy to make adjustments based on our personal preferences. The value for the cost of his tour is stellar - absolutely worth every penny. I highly recommend investing this day into your trip to Lisbon. We were so grateful to have Antonio show us these spectacular sights, and he was more than happy to take photos for us throughout. Antonio is the perfect guide! Kind, friendly, very knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, well organized, punctual, good driver, professional… and good company! We’re so glad we booked him for our day tour in Sintra! We were able to see and do much more than if we had tried to do it ourselves by car or train.. and so much less hassle. These palaces and castles are such busy places, but Antonio knows exactly which routes, places to stop, recommendations, etc to make the day as easy and efficient as possible.
