Il tempio pagano di Garni fu costruito nella seconda metà del I secolo dal re Trat III. Questo è l'unico tempio pagano, che è stato conservato sul territorio dell'Armenia. Dopo l'adozione del cristianesimo divenne la residenza estiva di Khosrovadukht, sorella del re Trdat III. Fu distrutto nel 1679 da un terremoto. Parti, frammenti di colonne aggraziate e pietre di muro erano sparse attorno al tempio. Si suppone che il tempio fosse dedicato a Mitra, il Dio del Sole. Il tempio di Garni è incluso nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO.
L'Arco di Charents si trova vicino a Yerevan, tra il tempio pagano di Garni e il complesso monastico Geghard Christian nel villaggio di Vokhchaberd. Questo monastero fu fondato nel 4 ° secolo d.C. al posto della fonte sacra, originaria della grotta. Il nome del complesso monastico Geghard (lancia) proviene dalla lancia Langin'n, che trafisse il corpo di Gesù Cristo sulla croce. Al momento questa lancia è custodita nel museo di Etchmiadzin. Nella provincia di Kotayk, non lontano dal villaggio di Garni, si trova uno dei monumenti naturali più noti e belli dell'Armenia - Symphony of Stones. Si dice che questo monumento naturale sia il risultato del crollo delle rocce vulcaniche. Il monumento è costituito da enormi esagoni paradossalmente simmetrici e colonne di basalto pentagonale (alte quasi 50 metri). Queste pietre appese alla gravità assomigliano a un organo, il che spiega perché viene anche chiamato "canne d'organo di basalto". Il fiume di Azat scorre attraverso la gola, in modo da sbucciare la bellezza ipnotica delle pietre. Dal territorio del monumento è anche possibile accedere alla Riserva statale della foresta di Khosrov e scoprire una delle aree appositamente protette dell'Armenia.

He was, without question, the most knowledgeable and generous guide we've ever toured with. We had an amazing experience with Jan Armenia, and a big part of that was because of our guide and driver, Arshak. From day one, he was always before time, cheerful, polite, and incredibly helpful. As pure vegetarians, finding the right food was a challenge because of the language barrier, but he went out of his way to help us choose and order the right food everywhere we went. He even introduced us to local fruits and dishes we would have otherwise missed. What really stood out was how much he genuinely cared about making our trip special. He accompanied us to almost every place, climbed up to monasteries with us, explained the history, architecture, and significance of each place, and shared so many interesting stories about Armenia. He also took us to a few beautiful spots that weren't part of the itinerary but knew our son would absolutely love them. Those little surprises made our trip even more memorable. He also saved us from unnecessary haggling and places where tourists could easily be overcharged. Every stop was thoughtfully planned with clean washrooms, good coffee, and food options which made travelling with family so much easier. By the end of the trip, it genuinely felt like we were travelling with a local friend. His warmth, patience, knowledge, and hospitality made our Armenia trip unforgettable. A big thank you to the entire Jan Armenia team as well. Everything was managed smoothly from start to finish, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
