Chiesa Nuova. La Chiesa Nuova è una chiesa di Assisi, in Italia, costruita nel 1615 sul sito del presunto luogo di nascita di San Francesco, la casa di Pietro di Bernardone. Fu quindi chiamata Chiesa Nuova perché era l'ultima chiesa ad essere costruita ad Assisi in quel momento.
Il Tempio di Minerva è un antico edificio romano ad Assisi, in Umbria, nell'Italia centrale. Attualmente ospita una chiesa, Santa Maria sopra Minerva, costruita nel 1539 e rinnovata in stile barocco nel 17 ° secolo.
Riconosciuta come patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO, la basilica di San Francesco fu costruita sotto la direzione del fratello Elias, vicario generale e architetto dell'ordine, a partire dal 1228, appena due anni dopo la morte del santo, come luogo progettato per ricevere la sua resti.

We had a fabulous morning in Assisi with Alessandra. She is a great story teller, very knowledgeable and great sense of humor. I really enjoyed how she explained the history of Assisi and San Francesco de Assisi with a very down to earth twist that I had not experience in tours were religion is involved. We toured the entire town and we visited several sites, including the basilica of Santa Clara, the Minerva church, piazza, nice streets and naturally the upper and lower basilica of San Francesco. It was perfectly timed for high enjoyment and learning. It gave us an interesting perspective that you could relate to today's characters and events.
Barbara was extraordinarily knowledgeable. She educated us well on Assisi’s history, the life of St. Francis, and the fine details of the artwork in the basilica and the criticality of Giotto’s innovations to future artistic developments in the Renaissance. No surprise since she was a teacher in her prior life. A great guide!!

It starts from the top of town at the church of St Clare. Very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared his personal insights. We took the quiet road behind the town to the Basilica and it was a delight.

Personalized tour of this beautiful city. Even though we were there during a holiday and tour guides were not allowed into the churches, our guide went through detailed instructions of what to look for and how to go through each church.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the church, the region and St. Francis. She spoke good English and was quite understandable even when speaking quietly inside the churches.. The pace was easy and covered a lot of ground.

Tour is a private tour which takes you through the history of Assisi, the Poor Claires, St. Francis and the Basilica of St. Francis. Guide was knowledgeable and quite opinionated, but treated the physical sites with dignity and respect. Tour does not include the resting place Carlo Acutis.
