In questo tour di 3-4 ore visita la Cattedrale madre di Echmiadzin (dall'esterno), la cattedrale principale della Chiesa apostolica armena e la primissima cattedrale cristiana al mondo. È elencato tra i siti del patrimonio mondiale dell'Unesco. Vedi anche la chiesa di St. Gayane e St. Hripsime che sono tra le tre chiese di Echmiadzin dedicate alle donne martiri cristiane fuggite da Roma con la loro badessa Gayane. Entrambi sono elencati tra i siti del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. L'ultima tappa è Zvartnots, il tempio medievale di San Gregorio costruito nel VII secolo. Era uno degli edifici più alti del tempo (45-49 m). Oggi le rovine del tempio sono visibili a Zvartnots. È elencato tra i siti del patrimonio mondiale dell'Unesco.

La chiesa di Sant'Hripsime è uno dei famosi edifici ecclesiastici della città di Echmiadzin. Questo è l'esempio sviluppato e perfetto di chiese a cupola incrociata in Armenia. La chiesa è notevole per la sua semplicità architettonica e l'altolà. La tomba della martire cristiana Vergine Hripsime si trova nella sacrestia della chiesa. Il sito è incluso nella lista del patrimonio culturale mondiale dell'UNESCO.
Non lontano dalla Cattedrale di Echmiadzin, sullo sfondo delle cime bianche dell'Ararat, si può vedere la sagoma della cupola della chiesa di St. Gayane. Fu costruita nel VII secolo e appartiene allo stile cupola-basilica. Secondo la leggenda, questa chiesa fu costruita sulla tomba della Vergine Gayane, che era stata martirizzata per aver predicato il cristianesimo. Il sito è incluso nella lista del patrimonio culturale mondiale dell'UNESCO.
Questo meraviglioso tempio è il risultato dell'abilità e della coraggiosa creatività degli architetti armeni del VII secolo. Essendo stata costruita su più colonne, è riuscita a sopravvivere solo fino al X secolo. Quando all'inizio del XX secolo questo sito veniva scavato, molti specialisti difficilmente potevano accettare il suo modello di ricostruzione, progettato dal famoso architetto armeno Toros Toramanyan, poiché era difficile credere che una costruzione così enorme e complicata potesse essere costruita in quei giorni, e sorprendentemente in quel momento uno dei bassorilievi della chiesa di St. Chapelle a Parigi venne a dimostrare la versione di Toramanyan; il bassorilievo raffigura il tempio di Zvartnots con l'Arca di Noè e sembra il modello, rappresentato dall'architetto. Il sito è incluso nella lista del patrimonio culturale mondiale dell'UNESCO.

The tour guide Karen was excellent! It was a very interesting tour and Karen made it really great because he explained in detail all the destinations and their history, making us fully understand the value of what is the spiritual center of Armenia. Karen and Joseph were our guide and driver. The trip was wonderful through truly ancient places. And very spiritual because since it was Sunday we were able to participate in the liturgy. The guide Karen has been very kind and has explained everything to us very well. The cathedral is beautiful and the Zvartnots temple is idyllic.

I have taken two tours with Hyur: 🔹Garni and Geghard with David as driver and Marina as guide. 🔹Echmiadzin Cathedral and churches, Zvartnots Temple, with Gayane as guide and Joseph as driver. The experience went very well, since you check in at their office, they assign you a bus, and then you go on to meet your guides. I must say that both Marina and Gayane were excellent, with great historical knowledge, very kind, with wonderful explanations of the History of Armenia, and with the interest that their group have a great day. It is noticeable that they are very proud to be able to show the history of their country to those of us who decided to visit it. Regarding the drivers, I must say that they were very efficient, with safe driving, and very punctual. In general, the two tours were a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful experience on our tour today with Raffi as our guide and Sasha as our driver. Both were incredibly friendly, professional, and made the entire day enjoyable from start to finish. Raffi was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical information at every stop, which really brought each site to life. He also went above and beyond by taking numerous photos of our family throughout the day, helping us capture some wonderful memories. The lunch stop was excellent, with delicious food that added to the overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and appreciated the care and attention provided by both Raffi and Sasha.
