Tour guidato privato del vino di Colonia

Descrizione

We had an outstanding day with Andres, our driver and guide. We learned so much about Uruguay, how to drive safely for when we pick up our rental car and many recommendations for places to eat and things to do. The highlight was our lovely vineyard tour, wine tasting and lunch. We tasted four wines and they were all delicious and it was served with a large, diverse and delicious charcuterie board. We discovered our favorite white wine, El Legado's viognier! We came home with 12 bottles! The family welcomed us warmly and are humble and happy with their remarkable success story. There were no large tours and mostly just a few other small tables. The grounds are beautiful as well. We then enjoyed a visit to Carmelo where we saw the town and visited the beach area. Through it all Andres was charming and helpful and very communicative. I would definitely recommend this tour to all visitors.
Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I’m really happy you had such a great day at El Legado was a highlight — that Viognier is a dangerous discovery (in the best way), and coming home with 12 bottles says it all. It also means a lot to hear you enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the family welcome, and the visit to Carmelo. Andrés will be genuinely touched by your words — I’ll make sure he reads your message. If you ever come back to South America, I’d love to help you plan Mendoza or Chile too. Saludos cordiales, Damian
This is a great way to spend your afternoon in Colonia. Andreas is a fabulous host who picked us up at our hotel and drove us the short distance to the boutique family-owned winery, which consists of rows upon rows of well-maintained vineyard, beautifully revitalized buildings, a cellar, and a dining/tasting room We felt at ease the entire time, and the wine and food were both plentiful yet exquisite. Honestly, this was the highlight of our time in Uruguay. I would definitely recommend it.
Thank you so much for your kind review! I agree—Andrés is a fantastic host, and we’ve had the pleasure of working together for many years. I’m delighted you enjoyed Colonia and the winery visit; it truly is a special place, and their wines are always a pleasant surprise. I hope to welcome you again on another tour, whether in Mendoza or any of our other destinations. Cheers! Saludos cordiales, Damian
Our day started with a prompt pick up at the posada we were staying at in Colonia, followed by a lovely drive-through, the Carmelo area countryside to El Legato winery. Andres, our guide knew a ton about Uruguayan history and culture and culture and did a great job of sharing that with us. The wine tasting and Osato at the winery were lovely as were the three brothers and mother who run El Legato. All in all a great side trip from Buenos Aires!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful feedback! It makes me incredibly happy to hear that you enjoyed the drive through Carmelo's beautiful countryside and the experience at El Legado. The family there—the three brothers and their mother—truly pour their hearts into their winery, and it's always special when guests connect with them. I'm also thrilled that Andrés shared his knowledge of Uruguayan history and culture with you—that's exactly the kind of authentic, personal experience we aim to create. Thank you for choosing Borravino Wine Tours and for taking the time to share your experience. It was a pleasure having you with us, and I hope this is just the first of many wine adventures together! If you ever want to explore more of South America's wine regions (or even Spain now!), you know where to find me. Cheers and safe travels! Claudio
