Itinerario
Attraversa Piazza Indipendenza, il centro del governo statale indonesiano, tra cui il Palazzo Presidenziale e la Statua Arjuna Wijaya
Visita il Monumento Nazionale (Monas), un monumento alto 132 metri che simboleggia l'indipendenza dell'Indonesia. Il seminterrato del monumento presenta 48 diorami che mostrano la storia della nazione. All'interno della Sala dell'Indipendenza, vedere la Porta del Proclama, Garuda come emblema nazionale, e una mappa placcata in oro dell'Indonesia. Nota: il Monumento Nazionale è chiuso il lunedì.
La moschea di Istiqlal è la più grande moschea del sud-est asiatico e la sesta più grande del mondo per capacità di culto. Il suo nome, “Istiqlal”, significa “Indipendenza” in arabo. Situata nel cuore di Giacarta, proprio di fronte alla Cattedrale Nazionale, la moschea si erge come simbolo di pace e tolleranza religiosa. Nota bene : la moschea di Istiqlal è chiusa il venerdì; le visite sono limitate alla sola visione dall'esterno.
Situata su Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara, la chiesa cattedrale fu costruita nel 1891 in stile architettonico neogotico. La chiesa presenta alte torri e alte finestre ornate da vetrate. All'interno, tre altari principali formano un semicerchio, tra cui un bellissimo altare storico progettato per riflettere il suono come una conchiglia.
Visita un tradizionale mercato umido per sperimentare la vita quotidiana a Giacarta. Esplora le bancarelle affollate, guarda la comunità locale svolgere le proprie attività quotidiane e assaggia autentici snack indonesiani e frutta tropicale.
Visita il Tempio Dharma Bhakti, il più antico tempio confuciano di Giacarta. Ancora oggi attivo, funge da centro di culto, cerimonie religiose e conservazione delle tradizioni Cinesi.
Quest'area era precedentemente il centro del governo coloniale Olandese. Con i suoi canali e gli edifici storici caratterizzati dalla classica architettura Olandese, viene spesso chiamata “Piccola Amsterdam”.
Successivamente, fai un salto indietro nel tempo al Museo di Storia di Giacarta (Fatahillah Museum) nel cuore dell'iconica Città Vecchia. Ospitato in un ex municipio coloniale Olandese, il museo riporta in vita il passato di Giacarta attraverso affascinanti manufatti, mappe storiche e storie che spaziano dai suoi inizi all'indipendenza. È una visita imperdibile per gli appassionati di storia e i visitatori alle prime armi desiderosi di esplorare le radici culturali della città. Nota: il museo è chiuso il lunedì.
Incontra maestri burattinai tradizionali e impara a conoscere la marionetta indonesiana. Scopri come sono fatti i pupazzi, guardali in azione ed esplora una collezione di wayang provenienti da varie regioni dell'Indonesia. Nota bene : se siete fortunati, potreste assistere ad una performance dal vivo del burattinaio.
Per concludere il tour, visita il porto più antico di Giacarta, che un tempo testimoniava l'apice del controllo Olandese sul commercio delle spezie in Indonesia. Oggi, il porto è ancora in uso per la navigazione interna, con le tradizionali barche in legno di Phinisi ben ancorate e allineate lungo il porto.

This private tour is excellent if you have only a day to visit Jakarta. Bryan, an enthusiatic young man was our tour guide along with Andy, who drove us to the places. The minivan was too big for a group of three, but very comfortable. Bryan accommodated our request to start half an hour later as we were running late. Bryan was very thorough in explainjng the history of Indonesia and the significance of the places we visited. He is polite, knowledgeable ad an excellent guide. Highly recommended.

What an amazing tour of everything that is Jakarta. Jakarta is a brilliant city and we are so happy that we contacted the Ekaputra Tour team. From start to finish, our tour guide, Gus and his driver were brilliant and made our tour one to remember. Gus is very informative (very, very informative), with everything that is Jakarta and Indonesia. The tour was a mix of sightseeing and education and a lot of fun on the way. Fajar was our guide and he did an excellent job showing us all the important highlights of Jakarta: the National Monument with displays that narrated the history of Indonesia very nicely, the grand Istiklal Mosque, the next door Cathedral, the Chinese quarter and temple, the old town Batavia with its Dutch heritage, and finally the port. I recommend this tour to anyone who visits Jakarta for the first time. It’s very well worth it.

There is not a lot to see in Jakarta for tourist but this tour hits all the highlights. It is an excellent way to see Jakarta in comfort and learn about the history of Indonesia. Our guide, Bryan, was excellent. His English language skills are outstanding but his knowledge of Indonesian history and world events is amazing. Every minute of the trip was well coordinated and organized with a separate driver to pick us up and drop us off at each site.
