Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I was a beginner fisherman, and my partner has some experience. They accommodated both of us. The fishing was great and the conversation even better. We hope to come back with our family.

We had the best time!! They were so nice, accommodating, and helped us make the most of our trip. They cleaned our fish for us after we finished and personally walked us down to the best restaurant to have it cooked! Would recommend over and over again!

Mauricio is a great guide. He is attentive and very knowledgeable. We caught almost 20 fish. A mix of yellow tail snapper, mutton snapper, smaller amber jack. Mauricio took us to a nearby restaurant that prepared the fish 3 different ways. Absolutely sublime!!! I’m a Florida boy and I have had fresh fish immediately after catch often. But the garlic butter and fried fish I had here was unique. I will recommend for future guest to do drop fishing first because these guys know the water and will put you on the fish. And after you catch some go trolling! The boat is a little on the smaller side so I also recommend taking Dramamine 24 hours before the trip and one pill right before you get on the boat. The medicine needs to be in your blood stream to work properly. It did get rocky in the boat but again we are from Florida and have a little salt running in our blood. But I will be using his services again and highly recommend fishing with Mauricio.

Some things I wish there would have been more information about is the size of the boat you take our is small for the ocean so be prepared to get sprayed quite a bit and be wet most of the time. We unfortunately didn’t catch any fish which wasn’t anyone’s fault but I recommend asking to do the shallow fishing only if you want to be able to fish because when we were doing deep sea fishing we didn’t get to participate at all and felt like we were just on a boat ride. The guides were very nice but also didn’t talk to us much to tell us what was going on while doing the deep water also. There’s also no bathroom for the 4 hours and I also wish I’d known that! They bring water on boat but nothing else and didn’t actually offer us any but we also were trying not to drink so we wouldn’t need to use the restroom. The guys seemed super knowledgeable and I hate to lose them any business but I also just wanted to share info that I wish the listing was more clear on to help prepare others! Also if you can help it don’t book on a windy day as it was bigger waves and made the ride more uncomfortable and if the seaweed/algae is bad that day then when you do your fishing in the shallows it even snapped one line it was so hard to reel in, but neither of those was their fault, just some warnings of when to book that might be best!
We do want to mention that our listing specifies this is a traditional 25-foot Puerto Morelos panga, which is a smaller local fishing boat designed for an authentic Caribbean fishing experience rather than a large luxury yacht. Ocean conditions can vary significantly depending on weather and wind, and smaller boats will naturally feel the movement of the sea more than larger vessels. As with most traditional pangas of this size, there is no onboard restroom, though we appreciate your comments and understand that additional reminders about this may help guests better prepare before their trip. We also wanted to clarify that our listing includes bottled water and notes that guests are welcome to bring additional beverages onboard if desired. Since every guest has different preferences, we do not automatically provide alcohol or other drinks unless specifically arranged in advance. Fishing conditions can also vary day to day based on season, currents, seaweed, weather, and fish activity, but our captains always work hard to provide the best and safest experience possible. We had an incredible fishing trip with Captain Mauricio! He is an outstanding guide—highly knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. He knew exactly where to find the fish, and we caught plenty to last us for a few great meals. The highlights of the trip were definitely watching the dorado aggressively chase our lures and spotting so many sea turtles along the way. It truly made for the perfect outing. Thanks, Capt. Hands down one of the highlights of our trip.The crew knew exactly where to go Super relaxed vibe, lots of laughs, and zero stress the whole time. Then topping it off by bringing our fresh catch back to the hotel to be cooked? 10/10 experience. Would book again .
Had an absolutely amazing day! First time fishing the ocean and couldn’t have been better. The team was awesome and helpful. Caught our first mahi mahi, and some smaller fish as well. Will definitely be back and booking with these guys exclusively! All and all just being on the ocean with a rod in the water was a beautiful way to spend the day. 10/10 recommend!
