Ci sono sei magnifici ponti che uniscono le due sponde del fiume Douro. Divertiti sulla crociera dei sei ponti e conoscili! Classificato come monumento nazionale, il ponte D. Maria Pia è un'infrastruttura ferroviaria che attraversa il fiume Douro, collegando Porto e Vila Nova de Gaia. Progettato da Gustave Eiffel, un tempo era il più grande ponte ad arco in ferro del mondo ed è considerato uno dei suoi più grandi capolavori.
Il Ponte Dom Luís I è una vera icona della città di Porto e una meraviglia dell'ingegneria del XIX secolo. Il ponte Dom Luís I attraversa il fiume Douro tra Porto sulla riva nord e Vila Nova de Gaia sulla riva sud.
Il ponte Arrábida è un ponte ad arco che attraversa il fiume Douro, collegando Porto e Vila Nova de Gaia. Fu costruito nel 1963 in risposta al crescente flusso di traffico e alla necessità di collegamenti alternativi ai vecchi ponti. Al momento della sua costruzione, il ponte aveva l'arco in cemento armato più grande di qualsiasi altro ponte al mondo.
Il ponte São João è stato costruito per sostituire il ponte D. Maria Pia, un altro ponte iconico di Porto. Il ponte São João è diventato un punto di riferimento iconico nello skyline di Porto e un importante collegamento di trasporto tra Porto e Vila Nova de Gaia. È interessante notare che, durante la costruzione del ponte, gli archeologi hanno scoperto sul sito i resti di una strada romana e di un cantiere navale medievale, fornendo preziose informazioni sulla storia della zona.
Il ponte Freixo è stato inaugurato nel settembre 1995 è un ponte stradale che collega Vila Nova de Gaia a Porto, sul fiume Douro. Di tutti i ponti che collegano Porto a Vila Nova de Gaia, il Ponte do Freixo è quello più a monte del fiume Douro.
Il Ponte Infante Dom Henrique, noto anche come Ponte Infante, è un ponte stradale che collega Vila Nova de Gaia a Porto, sul fiume Douro, in Portogallo. Chiamato in onore dell'Infante Dom Henrique (Fu il principale promotore dell'espansione portoghese, le cosiddette ''Scoperte portoghesi''), nacque a Porto, è il ponte più nuovo che collega Porto e Gaia.

We were not able to redeem the booking voucher for tickets because the tour office closed early. The booking stated that the voucher could be redeemed for any cruise on our booking date. It also stated that the last cruise on the river was at 8:30 pm. We attempted to redeem the voucher at 6 pm, and the tour office was closed. We should receive a full refund because it was not disclosed that vouchers must be redeemed before 6 pm. We are very disappointed and would not recommend Viatour with this tour company.
Booked a couple of hours before using the ticket through Viator. Instructions to make our way to Ribeira. and a choice of two operators to take our ticket to, either Douro Acima or Tomaz do Douro. We chose the first but it was just the first one we came to. Showed our ticket and were told to come back in half an hour and where to wait and we were booked on the next sailing cruise. No hassle, simple to use. Boat was great, no need for headphones, six bridge info was narrated over the speaker in two languages. Clear info on the bridges but not too much to overwhelm. All in all a great boat ride. It is also cheaper to book in advance rather than at the quay side.

The boat itself was pleasant but finding check in was remarkably difficult. The address given via Tripadvisor led randomly to a locked gate on a back street with a QR code that led to a spam website. There was thankfully a map that directed to the correct location on the quay. When we finally found the booth on the quay we were given a paper ticket but still had to produce our electronic one as well. Overall unnecessarily complicated. Whilst we saw the bridges and the view of Porto was delightful the actual tour was not good as the (pre-recorded) audio could barely be heard. Disappointing.
The trip is spectacular, the crew is super friendly and attentive. We recommend 100%, we will definitely repeat.
Enjoy views of Porto from the river. You can see all the bridges with their diverse structures from this vantage point. A quick but worth it ride.
A great 50 minute trip up and down the river Douro. To see the Bridges and the history. Interesting and enjoyable.
superb experience good communication and support
A lovely, simple way to see Porto and its six iconic bridges from the water. Great value for money, especially if you’re looking for a shorter cruise rather than spending hours on a boat. Think of it more like a ferry experience shared with other passengers than a luxury cruise. That said, everyone gets a seat with a good view, making it a relaxing and enjoyable way to experience the city from the river. I would say this trip is kid friendly and appears to be suitable for people with accessibility issues.
Beautiful river cruise! Nothing extra about it except for the amazing views of both sides of the river. Nice perspective to see the wine companies but also the amazing landscape of Porto!
