Il nostro tour inizia a Camí de la Escollera di fronte alla Cattedrale di Palma intorno alle 09:15. Palma fu fondata come accampamento romano sui resti di un insediamento talaiotico. La città fu sottoposta a numerose incursioni vandaliche durante la caduta dell'Impero Romano d'Occidente, poi riconquistata dall'Impero Bizantino, poi colonizzata dai Mori (che la chiamarono Medina Mayurqa) e, nel XIII secolo, da Giacomo I d'Aragona.
Soller è un bellissimo villaggio situato a tre chilometri dal porto sulla costa nord-orientale di Maiorca ed è noto come il centro commerciale e culturale della Serra de Tramontana. Emerge da una valle circondata da montagne chiamata "el valle de Los Naranjos" (la valle degli aranci) e la bella piazza centrale che è il punto di incontro principale del villaggio, è circondata da tante piccole strade acciottolate. Al nostro arrivo a Sóller, il centro commerciale e culturale della Sierra, veniamo accolti dalla piazza principale di Sóller, perfetta per sedersi su una terrazza e osservare la chiesa di San Bartolomé e l'edificio del Banco de Sóller.
Il porto di Sóller è un bellissimo porto naturale situato nel nord-ovest dell'isola e un importante centro di interesse turistico. Un piccolo tesoro ambito nell'antichità dai corsari che ci offre un paesaggio irripetibile in cui il profumo dei fiori d'arancio si mescola al profumo del mare. Il porto e la città di Sóller sono collegati da un vecchio tram in legno che conserva tutta la sua estetica e decorazione originale e che possiamo ammirare passeggiando sul vivace lungomare del porto.
Il 4 ottobre 1913 fu inaugurata la prima linea di tram elettrici a Maiorca, che correva tra Sóller e Puerto de Sóller. La costruzione del tram Sóller è iniziata dopo l'inaugurazione della linea ferroviaria Palma-Sóller. Il progetto per questa linea è stato progettato e diretto da Pedro Garau e sono stati posati 4.868 metri di binario. Spicca il ponte in ferro sul Torrente Maggiore. All'inizio, il tram aveva una centrale elettrica situata nella stazione di Sóller che era alimentata da un motore a scoppio da 65 cavalli che funzionava con una dinamo Siemens-Schuckert, fornendo una corrente continua di 600 volt. Sebbene il tram Sóller fosse progettato per il trasporto di passeggeri, veniva utilizzato anche per il trasporto di merci al porto.

Carmen was fabulous! She called the day before to confirm our meeting point. During the tour she spoke to us in 4 languages to ensure all guests received the information about the tram, train and surrounding logistics. She kept track of all passengers on a variety of tour packages.

Excellent trip only negative didn't get any tme in Pt Soller only 20 minutes pretty rushed and not enough time in Soller, was booked for a 09.30 hotel received message changing to another pick up point 10 minutes away at 08.30 spent 4 hours on the coach doing other passengers pickup, enjoyed the tour and experience Sophie and driver very good, no time for toilet breaks,returned after experience to join the coach and toilet was closed, but on a positive note well worth the experience.

We traveled as a family with an elderly person with reduced mobility. Nothing indicated that there was no access for people with reduced mobility. I strongly advise against it for strollers and it is impossible for wheelchairs. Upon your arrival, welcome to the hanger games. Getting down to Puerto Soller is complicated, but getting back up ... An hour wait on the road, trams are reserved for groups and they pass in front of you, no line to shelter people with reduced mobility from the crowd. You have a ticket, but those who do not have one can also board and pay inside (10€ one way per person). No sign in the tramway regarding the maximum number of people or kg allowed. In short, you are crammed in like cattle for a 30-minute ride. At this rate (or even less), taxis are available.

Il est vrai qu'en pleine haute saison, Majorque, Sóller et les tramways sont très fréquentés en raison de leur immense beauté. Nice train ride, the train is "vintage" , we took the train+tram ticket to Soller , the tram is also "vintage" , it is not fast, we take the remps to see the landscapes that we do not necessarily see from the road, ... A good time.

So much travel time and very little time in Soller - given 30 minutes and 10 minutes was spent getting out of the station. Very rude guide ViVi would absolutely not recommend her

So booked with Jet2 Rep at the hotel...... Firstly the views were AMAZING however, the trip itself felt disjointed, unorganized and rushed. The trip cost was €62 per person, the coach was 30 minutes late In pick up and this was taken away from the time we were able to spend in the two village stops, 10 minutes allocation for the 1st village and 30 minutes for the second village. The rep was at times rude and abrupt. The tram and train were a nice experience for sightseeing however again not enough time allocated to explore the towns. NOT WORTH €62.

It was a wonderful tour!! Good thing I asked the tour operator for details where, when and time for pick up. Otherwise we would have missed the trip. That would be a recommendation.
