La stazione ferroviaria di São Bento si trova nel centro storico di Porto, dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO e Monumento Nazionale del Portogallo. Qui godrai delle bellissime piastrelle, dell'architettura e della sensazione di essere un portoghese del nord.
Rua das flores era la strada nota per i suoi fantastici negozi di gioielli fatti in casa, tuttavia per molto tempo è stata abbandonata, ma 4 anni fa hanno riaperto la strada e ha guadagnato una nuova vita dove gli artisti di strada amano esibirsi nei loro spettacoli
Ti mostreremo, dall'esterno, e ti spiegheremo un po' della storia della libreria più famosa di Porto, la libreria Lello, un edificio del 1881 che ha ispirato JK Rowling sui libri di Harry Potter.
Le chiese di Carmelitas sembrano la chiesa più grande della città, tuttavia questo è perché sono due chiese separate da una delle case più strette del mondo, e il motivo lo scoprirai durante la giornata con noi :) .
La Torre dos Clérigos è uno dei punti di riferimento architettonici paradigmatici di Porto. La struttura è, infatti, parte della Chiesa Clerigos, che rappresenta il suo campanile. La chiesa vera e propria fu costruita tra il 1732 e il 1750, ma i lavori di costruzione della Torre dos Clérigos iniziarono non prima del 1754, per essere completati solo nel 1763, questo è sicuramente il monumento più iconico di Porto, e vi racconteremo tutto su di esso
A Porto diciamo che il posto migliore dove stare a Gaia (l'altra sponda del fiume), perché da lì si ha la vista panoramica di Porto, tuttavia, per chi conosce il punto panoramico di Vitoria, sa che da Porto è possibile avere panorami mozzafiato di Gaia, specialmente alle cantine. qui godrai di queste viste incredibili.
Avremo il tempo di conoscere un po' la Cattedrale di Porto, un edificio del XII secolo e avremo la possibilità di godere della splendida vista da lì al Porto e al fiume.

Americo met Tom and me at the Vimara Peres statue near the Cathedral, a terrific start to our 3-hour+ walking tour. He clearly loves his city and knows it well. In addition to Porto’s remarkable train station, the Cathedral and other iconic sites, he shared stories and sites that added perspective and depth, including a stop at an archeological site near the Cathedral that we hadn’t noticed earlier this week. A young mother and well-behaved toddler from Gaia were delightful fellow travelers. Americo ended our tour with a walk across the beautiful Douro River to view his beloved city from Gaia.
I loved, I loved, wonderful city. On my first visit to the city of Porto I fell in love. St. Benedict's beautiful station, the streets, the broth market I loved and everything cleaned despite the huge tourists who walked there. Experience to repeat for sure

The informative guide gave lots interesting facts and stories about the locations visited. We walked at an easy pace but still managed to visit lots of locations. Many recommendations were given to visit after the tour.
This was far more than a walk to see the key sites, the guide provided great insights & historical knowledge of portugal & relevance in Porto
Very knowledgeable guide. Unfortunately he was quite late. The tour should have been three hours and it overran by 25 minutes. I had another tour at 2pm so had to leave the end. Thankfully he ordered a taxi for me. I did just make the next tour
Pedro was unbelievable! He stayed with us more than the 4 hours the tour called for. Even when I thought I couldn’t walk anymore I wanted to hear more of the history and insights into the area that I didn’t want to end the tour! I highly recommend this tour and especially Pedro!

Very nice corner, we preferred Porto than Lisbon, very touristy, what is a shame is that it takes advantage to increase prices.
