We knew we were in for a treat as we did a wine tour with this company a few weeks ago. We arrived hungry and ready to have our bellies filled with great food and our minds filled with great stories about the Portland Food Cart Scene. Herb was the perfect man for the job! He greeted everyone with a huge smile and an iced beverage, and then the food & stories began. We ate, we walked, we talked, we laughed, repeat. A few times. And had so much fun. Everything was so delicious, it is hard to pick a favorite. Our bellies were very full, so we were happy for the several blocks to walk back to our car after it ended. Herb kept the tour moving at the perfect pace, filled us with stories of Portland and introduced us to some awesome different foods. My husband and I moved to Portland about a month ago and we will certainly return to all of the places we visited on this tour.
A fun and tasty experience from start to finish! A 3 hour plus tour that was a great way to spend an afternoon in Portland. Given the variety and portions served, it was worth the money. Herb was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. He shared a lot of stories as well as background info. I strongly suggest doing the tour with him!
I cannot say enough good things about this tour! My daughter and I enjoyed this experience tremendously. I have a new respect for the food cart industry. The food and drinks were diverse and flavorful. Please bring your appetite! Herb is a wealth of knowledge and was an amazing tour guide. We are looking forward to reading his book 😉!
It was a fun and delicious experience from start to finish! Our guide, Herb was the BEST! So knowledgeable about the city and the food scene. It was memorable 3 hour tour and worth the money.
This tour was a great time and I highly recommend! The food was delicious and things I never tried before and probably wouldn't have tried on my own. We also got to walk through the areas, and learn about the history of food carts in Portland! Herb was an incredible and engaging tour guide (and waiter lol), you can see his passion for his job. He also gave us some good history lessons and he made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience throughout, sweet guy! Make sure to have an empty stomach beforehand, you get plenty of servings! Thanks guys!
Perfect for solo travelers as well as groups. Portions are a good size. Guide is really personable and keeps the energy light and fun.
Herb was a wonderful guide and provided interesting information about Portland and food carts along the way. The selection of food we ate were all delicious and varied with ample sized servings - no tiny bites on this tour! It was wonderful!!! The menu was clearly selected carefully to provide a wide sample of the best food from the carts. This was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Arrive hungry so you have room for everything.
This is a very fun experience. Food carts are an important part of Portland's culinary scene, offering cuisine from around the world. Our tour guide, Herb, was fun and full of interesting information. Walking totaled a mile with four stops at carts. The food was excellent and a nice representation of what the food carts have to offer. Highly recommend!
Great food and info on a fascinating side of Portland. There were six separate dishes in different food parks.
Had a great time on this food tour. Our guide Michelle was amazing, so knowledgeable about the local food scene and Portland history. The food was all great and generous portions. Definitely recommend.
