Venite a sperimentare la grandezza della Gola del fiume Columbia, una delle aree panoramiche naturali più fotografate degli Stati Uniti. Guideremo lungo la più antica autostrada panoramica degli Stati Uniti, fermandoci in ampi punti panoramici, cascate fluenti e un lodge storico.

Itinerario
La nostra posizione centrale di incontro e punto di raccolta! Un bellissimo parco urbano nel centro di Portland.
Partiremo dal centro di Portland e guideremo verso est lungo il fiume Columbia fino a Troutdale, conosciuta come la Porta della Gola! Ci uniremo alla bellissima Historic Columbia River Highway, la prima strada panoramica pianificata negli Stati Uniti.
In genere, la nostra prima tappa del giorno è la Crown Point Vista House. Questo famoso panorama si trova a 733 piedi sopra il fiume Columbia, in cima ai resti di un flusso di lava che ha attraversato la gola circa 14-17 milioni di anni fa! Qui, troveremo viste mozzafiato a 180 gradi sulla Columbia River Gorge ed esploreremo la Vista House. Un osservatorio complesso e un museo, la Vista House è quotata al Registro Nazionale dei Luoghi Storici.
Da Vista House, guideremo più in profondità nella Columbia National National Scenic Area. La nostra prima cascata per il giorno sarà la spettacolare cascata di Latourell che si estende per 249 piedi su un enorme muro di basalto colonnare. A seconda della stagione, una breve escursione di ¼ di miglio sarà guidata per ottenere una visione più ravvicinata delle cascate.
La prossima cascata che visiteremo sarà la famosa Multnomah Falls. Piombando di 620 piedi in due fasi principali, Multnomah Falls è la cascata più alta dell'Oregon e la seconda più alta della nazione! Qui, possiamo esplorare la Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge (una cascade in pietra e legno lodge costruita nel 1925), nonché la bella Multnomah Falls stessa. La piattaforma di visualizzazione facilmente accessibile offre una visione completa del ponte di Benson e cascate al di là.

I had a wonderful time at the Colombia Gorge Waterfalls Tour! The scenery was breathtaking, and the entire trip was extremely enjoyable from start to finish. A special shout-out-to our tour guide, who was outstanding incredibly friendly, welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about the area. He shared so many great insights and made the whole experience seamless and fun. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beautiful waterfalls.

My two girlfriends and I did the Gorge Waterfalls Tour with Wildwood Adventures this past Saturday at 8:30 AM, and we had such a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, David, was an absolute delight. He was professional, personable, funny, and genuinely fun to be around. His great sense of humor and warm personality made our group of 11 feel completely comfortable with one another. He also went above and beyond to help everyone capture photos at each stop. My friends and I kept talking about how great the tour was throughout the day, and we really hope Wildwood Adventures knows what a wonderful job David did. He truly made the experience even more memorable! Highly recommend!
