Great for kids, granddaughter is five and it was perfect!!
Shiver me timbers! Your granddaughter was the finest pirate that I've seen in a fortnight or two! Come back soon and we’ll take to the waters and hunt for more treasure!
We cannot say enough great things about Pirates of Charleston. I honestly was a little nervous about paying and reserving the experience because my daughter can tend to get overwhelmed easily with crowds of people or interacting with “characters” but Captain Shackles and First Mate Jim create such a fun and engaging experience that our daughter joined in after no time. I noticed another little girl who was pretty timid about interacting and they were very respectful of her boundaries while still gently including her in be experience. From water cannons to sword fighting to even limbo, (and…of course, treasure hunting), the crew has created SUCH a memorable experience for children. We still have a couple of days left here in Charleston but I have no doubt this will be the absolute highlight of the trip for our daughter.
It does my pirate heart good to know that yer daughter enjoyed being a part of the Black Ghost’s crew. She was amazing and a finer pirate I have not seen! She be a credit to the crew and the seven seas and I'll be sure to pass along your praise to the Captain and the rest of the crew! One of the best experiences ever. We took our grandson and he has been talking about it for days! The crew was wonderful - energetic, happy, engaged with all ages of kids - seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. The kids were constantly engaged - singing, dancing, using water cannons to repel other pirates, squirt guns, using the treasure map to find and open a treasure chest. Parents can be as engaged as they want. We can’t wait to go back!
We could not have beaten that scoundrel, Sneaky Pete without the help of your grandson and the rest of our battle hardened crew! We hope to see you again someday soon as we sail the waters of Charleston in search of treasure and adventure!

We took my 6 year old grandson on this. It's great! The pirates keep the kids busy and entertained. The captain and his mate are very good with children big and little. It's definitely high energy and enjoyable for parents too. I would definitely recommend taking your family on this adventure!

PIrates of Charleston was a fabulous experience for the young and old! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the entire cruise…and the adults were in on the fun too! We weren’t sure what to expect, but would probably prepare a little more by wearing a costume (though not necessary) and getting into character. Be prepared for lots of laughs and to get a little wet. We would definitely do this again and highly recommend to all ages!

This is a memory that will last forever. My little one is always shy and reluctant to participate and this is the most I’ve ever seen her engage in a social situation! The pirates were so kind and took the time to involve everyone and keep the trip engaging. They gave each child encouraging compliments. Fun around every corner and the perfect length of time. This is an absolute MUST especially if you have little ones! The length of the trip was perfect, the actors were amazing and oh so funny! Well worth every penny we paid to see our little one have this much fun! It wasn’t overly crowded and the atmosphere was so much fun! From water gun fights, water cannons, and finding buried treasure! What a great way to spend our morning! Thank you!
