Diventa un pirata per il giorno! Ci dirigeremo verso Wallilabou Bay - il set cinematografico del film, The Pirates of the Caribbean. La baia di Wallilabou si chiamava Port Royal nel film. Questo tour ti dà anche la possibilità di visitare alcuni dei luoghi più famosi e pittoreschi di St. Vincent.

Itinerario
Il nostro tour inizia al terminal delle navi da crociera di Kingstown. Ti condurremo attraverso la nostra capitale Kingstown. Mentre attraverseremo, ti verranno mostrate e fornite informazioni su alcuni degli edifici più storici come la stazione di polizia centrale, il complesso finanziario, la Corte Suprema dei Caraibi orientali e anche il nostro cenotafio.
Guideremo attraverso la nostra vivace piazza del mercato dove un sacco di venditori e agricoltori vendono i loro prodotti locali.
Mentre proseguiremo per la nostra capitale Kingstown, guideremo per la strada della chiesa o "back street" come viene chiamata localmente. Qui vi verrà mostrata una breve storia sulla chiesa metodista e sulla chiesa anglicana e cattolica romana.
Poi andremo a Fort Charlotte. Fort Charlotte è un forte coloniale britannico, costruito su una collina che domina il porto e gode di una vista panoramica sul lato sottovento dell'isola, tra cui Kingstown, Young Island, Bequia e anche la famosa isola Mustique.
Dopo la nostra sosta a Fort Charlotte, ci uniremo al livello di Leeward, che è stato rinominato in Nelson Mandela Highway. Di passaggio vedrete il Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, il Victoria Park - un piccolo stadio che viene anche definito Carnival City durante la stagione di Carnevale, The Botanical Gardens che è il più antico giardino nel suo genere nell'emisfero occidentale, Our area industriale Campden park e poi sulla pittoresca baia di Buccament. Faremo una breve sosta qui per le foto.
A poca distanza a nord della baia di Buccament si trova l'insediamento di Layou. Layou fu una delle prime aree di insediamento dei francesi, che furono i primi europei a stabilirsi a St. Vincent e Grenadine all'inizio del XVIII secolo. Anche prima i Caribs lo usavano come uno dei loro insediamenti, come è evidente dai petroglifi che si trovano nella zona. Faremo una sosta qui a Layou per le foto
La nostra prossima fermata è il villaggio di pescatori di Barrouallie. Barrouallie fu fondata dai coloni francesi nel 1719, la prima colonia europea di St. Vincent. Un tempo era la capitale di St. Vincent e Grenadine. Con il resto dell'isola, passò avanti e indietro tra i francesi e gli inglesi, rimanendo infine nelle mani di quest'ultimo. All'interno di Saint Patrick Parish, Barrouallie è la città più grande e la capitale della parrocchia. La zona è nota per la pesca ed è famosa per "Blackfish". A causa delle montagne circostanti, la città è stata trasformata in un buco che nel tempo ha protetto la città dalle eruzioni vulcaniche.
La nostra prossima tappa sarà la Wallilabou Bay, dove sono state girate le scene d'apertura del primo film de I Pirati dei Caraibi: La maledizione della perla nera. È uno dei siti più visitati per i passeggeri delle navi da crociera.
A due passi c'è Wallilabou Heritage Park, che sarà la nostra prossima fermata. È una piccola cascata. Grandi alberi di Samaan coprono la piscina e le sue aree adiacenti, creando un microclima relativamente fresco per l'area centrale del parco. Queste e altre piante creano un habitat per diverse specie di uccelli.
Dopo un momento divertente alle Dark View Falls, faremo ritorno a Buccament Beach, dove avrai 1 ora per nuotare o fare snorkeling.

Per i passeggeri delle navi da crociera il nostro punto di partenza è al terminal delle navi da crociera di Kingstown. Saremo al porto poco dopo aver superato l'immigrazione. Non appena esci dall'edificio del terminal, prosegui dritto verso il gate 3, qualcuno del nostro team esporrà un cartello con il logo della nostra azienda. Se non sei un passeggero di una nave da crociera, fornisci il nome e l'indirizzo del tuo hotel o contattaci per discutere del ritiro.

This was an excellent tour! It was really exciting seeing the props from the movie and reliving their experience. I would definitely recommend.
Highly recommend tour company offering a great range of trips. Good value for money. Always punctual and responsive to questions. Shaf, in particular, is fabulous. A beautiful Vincentian, inside & out 🥰
Our pirates of the Caribbean excursion was truly unforgettable.. Our guide "Chef" was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well-paced, giving my family time to relax and take it all in. I highly recommend this excursion—it’s a perfect way to experience the beauty of the island.
Great tour at a very low price compared to others. It s basically gone around the island. The tour lasted 7 hours instead of 5.. a bit long without lunch, because the stops were 45 Min/1 hour instead of 15/30. Made a lot of bus (small max 22 people) on narrow roads and with many curves, up and down the hills but you saw a lot. Very good and nice driver and guide. Only in: left with 1 hour late and the stop at the beach terribe, to avoid: you have to bring towels, black sand no one has bathed and nothing much... it was preferable to return by ship...
Made a reservation 10 months ago. On the morning of the tour you will not find our reservation, taken hostage at the exit of the port not to go anyway with another operator. Taken away in the car, changed trucks three times. Since we could not go back because we were far from the port, we found ourselves on a tour that had already started halfway, completely different from the one booked. And finally paid full price, maybe even more than those who were on top of the bus. If you arrive by cruise ship stay in the ship, a stop to forget like the tour.
The tour as such was good, partly because you got to see something from the coast. The location itself doesn't show much of the location anymore, is quite touristy, costs additional admission, rather moderate. Afterwards we were still in a small pretty park (extra entrance), and then to swim on the beach. Fort Charlotte was interesting. Driver and guide were nice. Unfortunately, we, who were there at the beginning of the time window at the start of the tour, had to wait a long time for the start of the tour, probably also because the start time was described a bit fuzzy, and the last 5 guests only appeared at the end of the time window.
Learnt a lot about St Vincent and The Grenadines, it's sustainability, the fruits and vegetation on the island, it's people. We love St Vincent and the Grenadines and our guide assisted us in falling deeper in love with it. To you it off we visited Wallilabou Landing, where some parts of Pirates on the Carribean, The Black Pearl, were filmed. Truly beautiful island.
What an amazing tour. Wayne was polite and friendly on WhatsApp, making sure I had all the details I needed to join the tour. Deano was our driver and he was fantastic, as I was sat in the front I couldn’t always hear our guide, so he kept me informed. I didn’t catch our guides name, but she said “You can call me Sexy Lexi”. She too was amazing and so informative. My mum also loved it too. Definitely one to do if you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, and Topdawg Tours certainly make sure you have the best time.
This tour with Top Dawg was a great introduction to St Vincent and The Grenadines. Communication prior to the tour was also professional and detailed, which I really appreciated as a solo traveller. My guide Weena was so enthusiastic about showing us her country, and our driver Dino provided us with safe and comfortable transportation. The Pirates of the Caribbean site is worth visiting if you’re an enthusiast, but just bear in mind it’s not been maintained overly well since the movie was produced. It was still worth seeing, but just set your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this tour with Top Dawg for those with limited time on the island and for Pirates of the Caribbean enthusiasts.
"Topdawg" was an excellent driver. The roads are steep and winding, but we always felt safe. He even had time to dish out advice about horn use. The fort visit was educational. Not a lot to see at the Pirates site ($2 charge), but fun to play in the coffins. The waterfall stop was our highlight. We also stopped at a beach and learnt about whale catching!
