Forse una delle capitali più leggendarie del mondo, Phnom Penh, è salita e caduta più volte da quando è stata fondata nel V secolo. La vivace città che vedi oggi, che si sviluppa a velocità di curvatura e ospita oltre 2 milioni di persone, era un posto molto diverso solo decenni fa e la gente del posto preferisce ancora il suo stile di vita tradizionale. Viaggeremo attraverso la città in tuktuk e visiteremo almeno 6 fermate dove incontreremo i produttori, guarderemo il nostro cibo preparato e sperimenteremo come la gente del posto trascorre la mattinata. Visita i nostri quartieri preferiti a Phnom Penh, mangia i nostri cibi preferiti, prova come ci piace il nostro caffè e vai via con un souvenir! Coffee & Noodles: inizia la giornata in uno dei locali preferiti che serve la colazione del quartiere da oltre 15 anni. Sorseggia una selezione di caffè locale servito insieme a una scodella di gustosa zuppa di noodle.
Mercato umido locale: passeggia in un vivace mercato umido all'aperto, prova ciò che è di stagione e vai via con un souvenir fatto a mano ... su di noi! Lungo la strada, incontra la sorella Mao che procura erbe appena coltivate per creare la sua pasta di curry fresca.
Maiale e riso: visita il fratello Salin e il suo negozio a conduzione familiare che serve una classica colazione Khmer. Prenderemo una sedia di plastica e ci siederemo sul lato della strada per del maiale e riso appena grigliati serviti con sottaceti fatti in casa e una ricca scodella di zuppa.
Crepes salate alla curcuma: queste famose crepes salate sono fatte con latte di riso e curcuma, che conferiscono loro il loro vivace colore giallo. Quindi vengono farciti con carne di maiale macinata, germogli di soia e gamberetti essiccati prima di avvolgerli a mano con lattuga ed erbe locali. Non dimenticare la salsa di immersione fatta in casa!

This was a fun 3 hour tour to learn and experience the food in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We went to local spots and a local market with a guide who knows the people and area well. Had a really good time on this market tour in Phnom Penh. Everything was super well-organized and the schedule ran smoothly—we got to see a lot without feeling rushed around. Our guide Lii was great. He’s really nice, friendly, and knows a ton about the city and the local markets. Riding around in the tuktuk was a fun way to get around, and Lii made sure we were comfortable and had a good experience the whole time. Definitely worth doing if you're in Phnom Penh!

Amazing experience. The atmosphere here is fun and exciting. Our guide Lee was very friendly and took us to see markets, and we tried lots of different foods including rice noodles, yellow pancakes and coffee. Definitely recommend this tour!
