Il ronzio mattutino di Phnom Penh ti circonda mentre aspetti nella hall del tuo hotel, il tuo nome su un allegro cartello di "benvenuto" tenuto dal tuo autista. Quindici minuti prima della partenza, salite su un comodo veicolo con aria condizionata diretto a Siem Reap. Nelle prossime 5–6 ore, scivolerai attraverso i paesaggi cangianti della Cambogia – risaie, villaggi e cieli aperti – con rilassanti servizi igienici e pause caffè cosparsi lungo il percorso.
Angkor Wat, costruito intorno al 1150 dal re Suryavarman II, è un complesso monumentale di templi indù-buddisti vicino a Siem Reap. Con una superficie di circa 160 ettari, è famosa per la sua sagoma a cinque torri, il vasto fossato e gli intricati bassorilievi raffiguranti divinità e racconti epici
La Porta Sud di Angkor Thom (fine XII-inizio XIII sec.) è l'ingresso meglio conservato alla città murata. Affiancato da deva e asure che reggono balaustre naga, presenta torri di 23 m con volti sereni scolpiti in stile Bayon
Bayon, il tempio statale di Angkor Thom costruito da Jayavarman VII (fine XII-inizio XIII secolo), è famoso per le sue ~37 torri in pietra, ognuna adornata da immensi volti sereni. Le sue gallerie sono piene di bassorilievi raffiguranti mito, storia e vita quotidiana khmer

Entra nell'anima vibrante di Siem Reap al Mercato Vecchio (Phsar Chas), dove il fascino della Cambogia si anima in un'atmosfera colorata, caotica e accattivante. Situato vicino al fiume e a pochi minuti dall'iconica Pub Street, questo storico mercato è una visita imperdibile per chiunque voglia sperimentare la vera Cambogia.
Mentre il pomeriggio svanisce, ti stabilisci nel tuo viaggio di ritorno a Phnom Penh. Il viaggio dura circa 5 ore, arrivando al tuo hotel al calar del sole. (Nota: i fine settimana e le festività cambogiane possono prolungare il viaggio.)

I had a fantastic experience visiting Angkor Wat with my guide, Mr. T. He was incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, patient, and made the entire day feel relaxed and well organized. The itinerary was excellent and allowed us to see so much without ever feeling rushed. I really appreciated that Mr. T let me spend as much time as I wanted at each location and never made me feel like we had to hurry to the next stop. He also knew all the best photo spots and angles, which made for some amazing pictures! Breakfast was very good as well, and overall everything was thoughtfully planned from start to finish. Mr. T’s knowledge of the temples and their history added so much to the experience. I would absolutely recommend this tour and Mr. T to anyone visiting Angkor Wat with a short amount of time!

What a fabulous way to visit Angkor Wat. Yes it is a long drive but totally worth the effort. My driver was great with a seamless pickup and drop off and stopped along the way when requested. My guide at Angkor Wat, Mr T was very knowledgeable and also a great photographer. For those travellers based in Phonm Penh I would highly recommend doing this tour.

Kim the tour guide absolutely phenomenal. I learned so much about the temples, history, religion and culture. Kim was also incredibly informative and patient and helpful. he always asked and made sure if I was okay and if I needed water. Enjoyed our tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very helpful with taking pictures. The tour was quite a bit of money with the temple pass not included.
