Itinerario
Il tour inizia con un giro panoramico in van fino all'estremità nord dell'isola, dove arriviamo al Lunch Creek Falls Trailhead. Da lì, abbiamo intrapreso una facile passeggiata attraverso una foresta pluviale lussureggiante e temperata, circondata da sempreverdi torreggianti e dai suoni rilassanti della natura. Lungo la strada, ci fermeremo per ammirare la bellezza delle Lunch Creek Falls, una cascata che scorre sotto uno splendido ponte di legno, perfetto per scattare foto mozzafiato. Jordan our guide was fantastic. He is so knowledgeable about the flora and the fauna. Our 3 hours went too quickly. Thank you for an amazing time learning about the beautiful place you live.
The Rainforest hike was the highlight of our trip. Our guide Jordan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share his knowledge of plants poisonous and edible, and wildlife experiences with us. The beach was very interesting as well and we seen plenty of starfish, slugs, a squirrel and even a frog.

My husband and I were told, at the start of the excursion, that our tour guide was sick and would not be running the tour. Our tour guide was the one to tell us. He drove to the dock but cancelled the tour. Although he texted me the night before to confirm, he did not text us the day of. We were already off the boat and waiting for him. There was no back up plan. The company royally screwed us over. I can’t understand how he was so sick that he couldn’t give us the tour yet he was fine to drive and speak with us. The only reason this gets one star is that he did put in for a reimbursement within the hour. However, we could not get any tour that came close to what we were going to do. It was a terrible way to start our vacation.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely apologize that we were unable to provide your tour as scheduled. On that day, our guide became unexpectedly ill and completely lost his voice, making it impossible to safely and effectively conduct a guided rainforest experience. As a result, we made the difficult decision to cancel all five scheduled tours that day rather than provide a substandard experience to any of our guests. We attempted to contact you the day before your tour and again on the morning of your scheduled departure. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach you because your phone was unavailable while you were traveling. Wanting to ensure you received the information, our guide personally drove to the cruise docks despite being ill to inform you and your husband in person that the tour had been canceled. A full refund was promptly issued to your party, as it was for every affected booking that day. While we understand your disappointment, we respectfully believe this review does not reflect the quality of our tour experience, as the tour itself never took place. We encourage future guests to read our other reviews, which reflect the experiences of travelers who were able to participate in our tours. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by an unexpected illness. We appreciate your understanding and hope that, despite this unfortunate situation, you had a wonderful visit to Alaska and enjoyed the rest of your cruise.

What an amazing experience!! Jordan was so knowledgeable and friendly. His passion for this space is contagious. The scenery was spectacular and he went at our pace, answering all of our questions. This was just right for our family (kids 11 & 13 , average hiking experience). It was pouring in Ketchikan, but you could only feel a drizzle in the rainforest. We felt completely alone almost the whole time, even though there were two other tour cars there. We wanted a local, small-feel experience instead of a big cruise tour and this was perfect. We loved the beautiful plants and we followed evidence of a very recent bear visit, but never saw him. The beach was beautiful and seals were watching us. I loved this experience and would recommend it to anyone!!

We so enjoyed our hike through the Tongass National Forest & beach area. After our cruise ship left Ketchikan, we heard several people complain about how touristy/crowded the main town was - while we enjoyed our short time exploring Creek Street on our own, we felt lucky that we had the opportunity to get further out & enjoy the natural scenery on this excursion. Evidently they only authorize a limited number of guides to take tours out at this site, so we had it mostly to ourselves. The area is breathtaking & our guide, Jordan, was super knowledgeable & clearly very passionate about his work. He pointed out signs of wildlife in the forest & found us some marine life on the beach since it was low tide (starfish, anemones & urchins). Jordan was also happy to take pictures of everyone. One thing I will note - the hike was a little more strenuous than I expected. There were lots of stairs, narrow walkways, etc. My husband & I were good, but it is worth noting if you have trouble with mobility or stairs.
