This excursion was incredible! Sabrina and her team were nothing short of amazing. They were very communicative around our pickup and their tour was great. I appreciate the independence when we got to each stop, and they made sure the drinks kept flowing and the music kept playing. The beaches and water were perfection. We saw sea turtles and got to see many beautiful colorful fish while snorkeling. The lunch at Sanoa island was delicious, and we loved getting to drink a piña colada straight from the pineapple. Wonderful experience. Amazing tour guides. And, our memories were captured by the photographer on the crew. Highly recommend this experience! Sabrina and her crew will not disappoint.
I recommend going through Sabrina; she manages everything excellently, taking care of transportation, and she is accompanied by locals who are very kind and professional with a true sense of service. We had a wonderful day. We thank you again. So if you want to go on an outing in the Dominican Republic, do not hesitate to contact Sabrina.
We booked this tour for my birthday, and it turned out to be the highlight of our vacation. I honestly couldn't have wished for a better day! From the very first contact, Sabrina was amazing. She responded quickly, was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, and her excitement made us look forward to the trip even more. One of the reasons we chose this tour was the small group size, and we were lucky to be with only 7 people that day. It made the whole experience feel relaxed, personal and special. Everything was perfectly organized. We were picked up on time, had a short stop at a gas station to use the restroom and buy a drink if needed, and then headed to the small harbor where our speedboat was waiting. The boat crew was fantastic. They helped everyone on board carefully, constantly checked if everyone was comfortable, and clearly explained what we could expect throughout the day. You could really tell they cared about everyone's safety and enjoyment. Our first stop was the natural pool with the starfish. As someone who really cares about animals, I especially appreciated that the crew clearly told everyone not to touch or pick up the starfish. It meant a lot to see that this tour respects nature instead of exploiting it. After that, we went looking for turtles and stingrays and enjoyed some wonderful snorkeling in beautiful clear water. Then we arrived at Saona Island for lunch... where the team had even arranged a birthday cake for me! It was such an unexpected and thoughtful surprise that made my birthday feel incredibly special. We also had such a lovely group, and I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place to celebrate. After lunch we visited Flamingo Beach before heading back. Throughout the entire day there were plenty of drinks available, great music on the boat, lots of laughter, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Sabrina, thank you so much for making my birthday unforgettable. You and your team were absolutely wonderful. If you're looking for a well-organized, small-group tour with an amazing atmosphere, I can't recommend this experience enough!
I purchased the 15 people VIP package for my family of 4. We saw crabs, starfish, about 10 sea turtles.... even a sting ray! The beaches were beautiful, the water was gorgeous and the perfect temperature. Sabrina and the crew made this an experience of a lifetime. Sabrina was amazing! Very communicative and kind. I was concerned when I didn't see the hotel I listed for pickup on my tickets or in my confirmation email. I reached out to the company and Sabrina responded very quickly and reassured me they would be at my hotel by 7:20pm. She contacted me the morning of to let me know they were running a few minutes late. Literally 5 minutes. I appreciated her letting me know so I wouldn't worry we were being abandoned or something. She was very knowledgeable about all of the areas we passed by. Whether it was along the drive to the docks or on the boat. Making it a fun local history lesson. The family we were supposed to travel with changed their minds and wanted a private tour. Instead of cancelling on us, rushing to stuff the tour with more people or even charging us more, we ended up getting a private tour as well. This also allowed us more time at each stop and she even added a stop at a souvenir shop for us. We definitely felt like we got the VIP service. When we were coming up to the area we were going to snorkel in and there was quite a bit of seaweed. She decided it would be better to come back at the end of the tour when the tide would wash it away. When we came back around, she was 100% right. The seaweed was gone. My 4 year old nephew fell asleep on the speed boat and Sabrina took pictures and shared them with me at no added cost. My 79 year old dad has parkinsons and the crew was very helpful and attentive. They supported him on and off the boat without issue and even brought out a chair where there weren't any so he could sit in the shade when he wasn't in the water with us. They made sure we always had drinks in our hands if we wanted one and the food was very good. They also offer a professional photographer, which was fun. I can't recommend this company and crew enough!!! Book it and have a blast. Recommendations - bring toilet paper, towels, water shoes, sunscreen (put that on before you get on the boat), and a waterproof phone case. A good phone case, not the cheap ones they sell at the tourist shops. Oh, and get the pina colada. They're delicious!
The booking was user friendly. Communication was perfect, Sabrina contacted me quickly with details of pickup and departure. She was early and very accommodating for my group of six.
We had a great experience! Pick up was early, no waiting around, first ones on the islands. Super fun and knowledgeable about the history! I would do this 1k over doing the catamaran trips! No time wasted getting there nor back! The highlight was seeing starfish!
YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Sabrina was absolutely AMAZING as well as the rest of the crew! Huge shout out to "PAPARAZZI"! That man is amazing with photography!! To start the day, Sabrina picked us up on-time @ 720 am from our resort. She was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. We picked up 3 more people. The drive to Bayahibe wasn't long. It was cool to see places outside of Punta Cana. Once we arrived, we picked up another couple and headed to the boat. We had 9 AMAZING people in our group plus the crew. We were greeted by the captain and owner of the boat. We all had life jackets and they went over the rules. The boat was safe and was in great condition. We left the marina and headed to the natural pool. WOW WOW WOW!! It was something you see in travel magazines. We anchored and hung out for an hour. We got to see huge starfish. It was so cool. White sand with clear TURQUOISE water! Paparazzi took photos of everyone. Other boats would anchor. Music, dancing and drinks were flowing. They had Presidente beer, pop, water, rum, vodka and more. We then went and snorkeled. Sabrina fed the fish while we were in the water. They come right up to you. It was so cool. Then we headed to a beach. White powder sand and clear TURQUOISE water. We chilled here for awhile. We got off the boat and headed to get some drinks. You pay $10 for a whole pineapple or coconut. They core them and add rum. The pineapple was delicious. Then we went to Saona. So pretty. White sand and turquoise water. They lunch was delicious. We all sat and enjoyed one another's company, including the crew. Our group was so perfect. Everyone was so nice and got along. Lots of laughs and great memories made. The one couple was celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. Sabrina was able to get a cake made from the staff and surprised them. It was awesome! Once lunch was over we were able to take in the island for the rest of the afternoon. There are beach vendors there. Just tell them no and stay firm if you dont want something and they will leave you be. There was plenty of beach chairs everywhere as well as shaded areas. Once done at Saona, we headed to the mangroves. You dont get out in this area due to the protection of the sea turtles. We got to see so many and they were huge! It was so neat to see. Then we headed back to the marina. Paparazzi showed us our pictures and I was blown away with how they turned out. For us 4, we paid $150 and ended up with 150+ pictures. They were beautiful. The day was breathtaking and my family had the best time ever. We come to the Dominican every year and will be doing this excursion AGAIN! If you want a small group tour, this is totally worth it. We saw tons of boats LOADED with people and we were so glad we went with this. The service from start to finish was impeccable! Thank you so much Sabrina! We will see you next year!
We went on a private excursion to Saona island with Sabrina and her crew as a family of 4 which included my husband, my mum, our 5 year old and myself. Having been on a non private trip approx 18 years previous we wanted more control over our time, plus it meant my mum didn't have to feel conscious getting on and off of the boat with her mobility issues. We were picked up early, which is rare when on Dominican time :). The journey to the harbour took about an hour from our hotel but a comfort break stop was given when we were about 10 minutes away. This was a great consideration with a 5 year old on board. We had to wait a little while for the boat crew when we got to the harbour, but this wasn't an issue. Our first stop was the natural pool to see the starfish. As we went there first there were hardly any other boats there. Sabrina was very passionate about the protection of the starfish stating that we shouldn't pick them up etc and I fully support this. 18 years ago, there were 100s of them, whereas now you have to search for them which is a real shame. Next we went through the mangroves where we all spent time spotting sea turtles, stingrays and jellyfish. We were the only boat present so it was peaceful and a really special moment for us all. Sab and the crew made sure my son got to see a many animals as possible as that was what he was most excited about. Next up we went to a beach on Saona for lunch, not many people were there and there were some shops and a police hut etc. Lunch was simple Dominican food and tasted far better than what we had been having at the hotel. Tomato pasta was also available which was a winner for our son. Next we went to another beach on the island, again hardly anyone was there. It was beautiful and we all had a great time searching for shells & coral and swimming. Our final stop was snorkelling back at the harbour. The sea wasn't as calm as I'd hoped so we didn't end up going in. Sab had some rice from lunch so she sprinkled it by the boat which meant all of the tropical fish came to the surface so I didn't feel like we missed out. Again this was a great consideration! All in all the speed boat journeys were fun and the crew were friendly and helpful. A photographer was also on board but he wasn't pushy and only took photos if you wanted him to. Sab was very knowledgeable and accommodating and was with us from door to door of our hotel. I would not think twice about doing a tour with Sab and her team again. And if you want to have control of your time then I highly recommend a private tour.
Wow what an amazing day. Great team showing us around and pointing out stingrays, turtles and starfish and a million tropical fish. Highly recommend this trip with Sabrina. Just 8 of us today! The photographer was awesome! Thank you for much!
Such an amazing day with a wonderful group! The water and beaches were stunning. Sabrina and the Caribbean Medley staff were outstanding and catered to our every need. There are many options for Saona Island, but I’m so happy I booked with Sabrina. The speed boat meant we spent less time traveling and more time at the three beaches we visited. Highly recommend!
