Unforgettable experience in Corcovado. We went with the guide Ayder, and I do not know how the other guides are, but the experience with him has been incredible. 10 out of 10. A highly educated and cultured person answered all our questions with practical explanations on the ground, showing great patience and affection towards our children. Thanks to their expertise and the good communication they have with all their fellow guides, we were able to observe almost all the wildlife we wanted to see (the anteater was the only one we missed, so we will have to return, hehehe). We will always remember this great experience of wild nature, and it will largely be thanks to this exceptional guide. THANK YOU AYDER!! Regarding the company and the organization, everything was very proper; we felt very safe and cared for at all times. I would only add that this is a tour where there is no luxury and everything is very simple, with a lot of heat and humidity, and one must live the immersive experience of eating and sleeping in the middle of the jungle; only in this way can one get the most out of the experience. Regarding the price, I give it 4 out of 5 because I find it very expensive, but I understand that it is the only way to maintain all the infrastructure. We are very satisfied with the experience and would undoubtedly do it again (always with Ayder as our guide, of course).
Excellent tour! Our guide Marlon far exceeded our expectations with everything we were able to see. Because the parque restricts how many guests can visit at a time, it was easy to get away from other groups and just listen to the jungle. Definitely worth doing this as an overnighter as we saw tons of things in the evening and early morning hikes. This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica
Fantastic! We had an amazing time and loved it! Our guide, Marlon, was great! He had us running from place to place and we got to see so much!!! The staff at at Sirena Station was wonderful and kind. The food was good and we had everything we needed. This was a once in a lifetime experience!
One of the greatest experiences of my life! Seen many animals, including Tapirs. The dream come true. Our guide was so nice and knew all about the surroundings. Thank you so much!
This was a bucket-list item for two decades, and I finally got to visit Corcovado on my 3rd trip to Costa Rica. After extensive research to select an operator, and also to determine between the much simpler and economical day-trip, I couldn't be happier to have done the 2-day (boat-in/out) to Sirena (from Drake Bay) and felt especially lucky to get paired with an extraordinary guide and naturalist in Sandro. Sandro grew up in the cutty center of Osa, and his training as a guide started organically in his earliest years, as a matter of play, discovery and survival. There was nothing but authentic passion and respect, fused with the extensive knowledge I'd expect of any certified guide. He certainly enriched our experience across our 4 separate jungle walks, which blessed us with extraordinary sightings I know can't be expected. Corcovado tugged at the heart, cementing the truths of our precious natural world, by surrounding us with raw wilds that call conservation and consideration to action. These are the things we can control with our appreciation and reaction. The things we cannot control include sweltering heat and humidity in open-air beds, but I knew what we were signing up for, and chose to medicate myself to ensure sleeping through the tropical night and be amply prepared for big days in the forest. The tour company did a great job with communication and transportation, and the concession services at the ranger station were quite impressive, given the logistics of supplying and preparing daily meals, which were plentiful enough to provide much-needed energy for storage and recovery. For the intrepid traveler not bound to resort experiences, willing to put forth the effort of getting here in the first place, this is a lifetime experience, and I will not soon forget the intensity of a herd of fast, squat white-lipped peccaries gnashing their tusks in a penetrating clacking sound as they surrounded us as they foraged through our area (or is it the other way around)? The strong musk awakened in me a primal memory that is now ingrained to my visit to Corcovado with Pacheco-- thanks Sandro!
Great tour. Marlon showed us many animals. Highly recommended!
Amazing experience, the boat ride itself was an adventure (just make sure your gear is protected as a wave soaked us head to toe lol). Jose was an awesome guide. Absolutely unbeliveable how many animals he spotted and how great the pictures he helped us take were. Great food, amazing wildlife and nature. Definitely worth it, at least for me.
The tour was excellent. Marlon, our guide, made it possible for us to see as many animals as possible. He explained a lot to us about the animals and the plants. We would recommend it to everyone to take the tour.
The highlight of my trip to Costa Rica. With our guide Alejandra we avoided the crowds so it felt like we were just with a small group in the wilderness. We saw a lot of animals and took the time to see them through a telescope and make pictures of them. The overnight was also very special because you could here all the birds and howler monkeys.
We had an amazing experience on this trip with Marlon who was our guide for the duration. We saw an huge range of animals ( monkeys, tapir, wild boar, coatis) lots of birds ( macaws, toucans, black skimmer) and lots of lovely butterfly’s, a deadly snake and many beautiful plants and flowers. It was lovely to stay in the lodge Overnight and the food was good and the beds comfortable too. Thanks Marlon for sharing all your knowledge with us to make this a truly memorable experience.
