A Utah Beach, entrerai in un vero bunker Tedesco che ora è un museo di livello mondiale. Qui è dove gli stivali americani colpirono per la prima volta la sabbia Francese il 6 giugno 1944. All'interno, troverete uno dei soli sei bombardieri B - 26 rimasti in esistenza e sentirete le storie dei soldati che hanno cambiato la storia.
Dopo un pranzo leggero, è il momento della prossima attività: scalare la cima delle scogliere di 100 piedi per avvistare crateri da impatto storici e bunker di cemento ancora segnati dal conflitto. I ranger alleati scalarono queste pareti rocciose a picco sotto un intenso fuoco nemico per mettere a tacere le posizioni Tedesche. Stando qui, con il vento in faccia, il coraggio di quei soldati prende davvero vita.
Sotto la scogliera si trova Omaha Beach, dove le onde ora lambiscono tranquillamente la sabbia che ha visto i combattimenti più feroci del D-Day. This was a great tour to historic places. The guide shared a lot of background history and guided us through the locations well. It was a long day but the comfort of the tour bus allowed rest, relaxation and conversation.

Thelma is an expert when it comes to Normandy and its history. She was also able to keep it very entertaining on the long bus rides and made it fun and comfortable for everyone. I think the only low point was the lunch, where the chicken breast was very dry.

Thelma was a GREAT guide, very informative on everything that happened around Normandy in 1944. I am a US Veteran and she told us things that I didnt know, she was very personable with all of us on the tour. It is a very humbling experience learning about these military men/boys who made the ultimate sacrifice for Europe and the world for that matter. It is a long day so be prepared! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Such a wonderful moving experience. Thelma was an amazing tour guide who knew all about world war 2 history. Visited Utah beach and museum, Omaha beach, pont du lac and the cemetery. Would highly recommend. Nice lunch as well.
