Sometimes as a tourist you expect to be taken advantage of so that someone can make a few extra euros/dollars. This was one of those experiences. We arranged a Vespa rental with Chianti 500 though our hotel, and when we arrived to collect the scooter, the agreed terms and price had changed. The pick-up time was far sooner leaving us hardly any time to explore the area, and the cost had been increased by 50%. With little transport infrastructure in the area, we had no choice to agree to this (and they knew it). When we retuned to our hotel later and explained what had transpired, they offered to call Chianti 500 to get a refund for the extra amount on our behalf - at that point Chianti 500 lied to the hotel saying they had offered us other options and that the agreement was at our request. It's sad and shameful that a company has to resort to this kind of behaviour these days... there are alternatives in the area, I suggest you take your business there.
I was a beginner and it was hard to start but once you get the hang of it, it’s incredible!! So worth doing!
