Lasciandoti alle spalle la città storica, goditi un viaggio panoramico attraverso la valle del Salzach sulla strada per il primo punto culminante della giornata, il castello di Hohenwerfen.
Il castello di Werfen è una delle più magnifiche fortificazioni montane delle Alpi ed è stato utilizzato anche nel film “Dove osa l’aquila” con Richard Burton e Clint Eastwood. Era il castello di Werfen che era usato come nido d’aquila, non la posizione originale sulle Alpi Bavaresi. Ammira lo spettacolo di rapaci degli storici falconieri di stato, dove puoi vedere principalmente rapaci nativi in volo libero!
Arrivo nell'affascinante città bavarese di Berchtesgaden, dove avrete il tempo di rilassarvi e gustare un pranzo tradizionale bavarese (a proprie spese). Passeggiate per il centro storico, scoprite i negozi locali o semplicemente immergetevi nell’atmosfera alpina prima di continuare il vostro viaggio verso l’Obersalzberg e il Nido dell’Aquila.
L'Obersalzberg è una delle località storicamente più significative delle Alpi Bavaresi, un tempo sede secondaria chiave del regime nazista. Durante la sosta, la Guida indicherà l'ex sito Berghof, residenza di montagna di Hitler, e spiegherà l'importanza storica di questa zona all'interno del suo contesto alpino. Oggi, l'Obersalzberg offre un contrasto sorprendente tra il suo tranquillo scenario montano e il suo passato complesso.
Dall'Obersalzberg si accede al Nido dell'Aquila con autobus speciali e ascensore. Avrete 2 ore al Nido dell'Aquila. Fate una passeggiata fino alla vicinissima cima Kehlstein per ammirare le pittoresche Alpi Bavaresi e austriache. Dal 1 novembre, fino al 10 maggio circa, (dipende dalle condizioni della neve dell'anno), la strada di accesso diretto Eagle's Nest è chiusa in alternativa, offriamo invece di visitare la cima Rossfeld. Da questo punto di osservazione, immergetevi in una vista panoramica sulle splendide Alpi austriache e bavaresi e sul vicino Nido dell'Aquila. Sentitevi liberi di scegliere questa opzione anche quando Eagle's Nest è aperto, se si preferisce un sito molto meno affollato, più locale di Eagle's Nest.
Dopo otto ore di esplorazione del Nido dell'Aquila e del Castello di Werfen, apparso nel film "Dove osano le aquile", il tour privato si concluderà con il rientro al tuo hotel di Salisburgo o in qualsiasi altro luogo di Salisburgo.

Well worth the money. Know that you have to pay for the attractions, not included in price. My guide Lena was or is the best. Ask for her.

Patrick made our first full day in Salzburg the BEST. This is who you want introducing you to this spectacular region: a local expert who’s down-to-earth, personable, funny, courteous and so knowledgeable. It was raining, so Patrick gave us some immediate great options — we loved that flexibility and wound up having a fascinating day seeing Salzburg highlights, beautiful German towns, WWII bunkers, the remains of Hitler’s house where so many monstrous acts were devised…. eerie but fascinating. Then to Eagle’s Nest for the can’t-miss trip inside. Patrick navigated the roads AND all our questions with ease. You can tell he loves history which makes this tour so vivid and fascinating. Great person, clear communication, excellent advice both during and after (we’ll try that Kaasknocken you recommended!) — we’ll be telling everyone we meet about Patrick. Five stars. Can we add another? SIX STARS.

100 percent worth having seen once, but also sad, useless, given events....
We had a fantastic day with Gabi as our guide. The timing of everything was perfectly coordinated. The highlight of the day was the falconry show at Werfen castle. Then on to a fabulous lunch at the Eidelweiss hotel in Berchtesgarden. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for views at Eagles Nest but we still really enjoyed seeing it, and stopping by the site of Hitlers home.
Fabulous private tour of Werfen Castle and The Eagle’s nest with a great rooftop restaurant stop en route. Our guide Patrick was informative, entertaining, personable and his English was excellent. He also came well equipped with videos and photos to provide context and enhance the experience. Highly recommend this tour.
We did a private tour of the Werfen Castle and Kehlstein( Eagles Nest). Patrick out driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. He even pre booked a great lunch place at the Edelweiss Hotel in Berchtesgaden. He also threw in a couple of Sound of Music sites as he knew we were fans and movie fans. I would highly recommend Patrick and MCM for sight seeing trips if you do not want to drive .
What a terrific experience. The locations were as you would expect; surreal & full of thoughtful history. But Manfred, our guide, added a hue we didn't anticipate. As you embark on a tour in an unfamiliar place with an unfamiliar new face, Manfred's demeanor was positively engaging out of the gate. What a treat to experience a tour with a guide so committed to the experience and genuinely engaged as if you were old acquaintances. Really; very nice work. Highly recommended.
