Be prepared for an amazing experience in Tortuguero! Leave behind you expectations of air conditioning though - the experience at Tortuguero may be a wee bit more rustic for those that are used to luxury accommodations elsewhere in Costa Rica. That said, you cannot find better accommodations or a better experience in Tortuguero than this. We saw nature at it's most intimate level, from an excellent tour of the canals and inlets of the lagoon, to a night hike watching sea turtles nesting, it was a humbling and amazing experience for my whole family. Great value and an unreal, fantastic experience! .
