La nostra prima destinazione è il Monte Fuji, la montagna più alta e iconica del Giappone. Il nostro obiettivo è raggiungere il punto più alto accessibile della montagna. Dalla tarda primavera alla fine dell’autunno, visitiamo tipicamente la 5a Stazione, situata ad un’altitudine di 2.300 metri sul livello del mare, da dove si può godere di una magnifica vista sul Monte Fuji. Da fine novembre a metà maggio, invece, la 5a Stazione è chiusa per neve. In tal caso, visitiamo uno dei seguenti luoghi alternativi: il Mt. Fuji World Heritage Center, o la 1a, 2a o 4a stazione.
Vivrai un pranzo unico e delizioso in stile giapponese in un ristorante nella città di Gotemba. È disponibile anche un'opzione vegetariana.
Dopo aver gustato il pranzo, faremo una breve sosta in un punto panoramico nascosto del Monte Fuji chiamato Gotemba Heiwa Park (Parco della Pace). Il parco presenta molte strutture e monumenti unici, oltre a bellissimi ciliegi. Se avete la fortuna di visitarlo durante la stagione della fioritura dei ciliegi, rimarrete stupiti da una vista mozzafiato sui fiori rosa sullo sfondo del Monte Fuji.
Owakudani significa letteralmente "Grande Valle Bollente", ed è una rinomata valle vulcanica nota per le sue bocche di zolfo e le uova nere, che sono uova cotte nell'acqua termale.
Dopo aver gustato il pranzo, visiteremo Hakone, una delle località termali più famose del Giappone. La nostra prima attività a Hakone è un giro panoramico in gondola. È un giro in funivia di sola andata che ci porta nella valle di Owakudani.
La nostra attività finale è una crociera sul lago su una splendida nave pirata! Godiamoci un giro in barca di 30 minuti che offre splendide viste sul Lago Ashi, sull'iconica Porta Torii, sulle montagne circostanti e, ovviamente, sul Monte Fuji!
La nostra ultima fermata è la stazione di Odawara. I passeggeri che prendono un autobus per tornare a Tokyo avranno una pausa di 10 minuti alla stazione. I passeggeri che optano per il Bullet Train, o quelli con un Japan Rail Pass, saliranno a bordo del Bullet Train alla stazione. La guida turistica fornirà informazioni su come tornare al tuo hotel dopo essere sbarcato dal treno proiettile alla stazione di Tokyo.
Il viaggio in treno proiettile dalla stazione di Odawara alla stazione di Tokyo dura circa 35 minuti, e arriverai alla stazione di Tokyo tra le 18:30 e le 19:00. Il tour termina alla stazione di Tokyo. Se hai bisogno di assistenza, la tua guida sarà lieta di aiutarti con le indicazioni per i treni o le metropolitane locali, o di indicarti il taxi più vicino.

On 1st June 2026 my wife and I (visiting from Australia) joined this tour. Hotel pick-up was timely and we were taken to the group gathering point in Shinjuku. Thereafter our local tour guide Yuki accompanied us by coach to the various highlights, the 1st being the 5th station (topmost) on Mt Fuji itself. We were blessed with fine weather throughout and the various stopping points and lunch were all excellent. Yuki was knowledgeable, professional, funny and well organized, her commentary throughout the 10+ hour trip was fascinating. We had JR Rail passes so didn't need the Gray Line shinkensen tickets when the tour party dispersed. For a casual visitor to Japan / Tokyo this tour would not have been possible w/o a car and working knowledge of the Hakone area, so such a full day was excellent value for money.

The pickup at our hotel was extremely convenient because it’s rather early to try to get somewhere else for pickup. We had a slightly late start, but our pickup guide Kyoko was there for us to keep us updated. She was very knowledgeable. The main tour guide, Yuki, was great, but they need to turn up the volume on the PA a little. Yuki kept us on track throughout the day. The driver Ono-san was accommodating and stopped to let us get pics of the peak during a moment of sunshine. Both kids and adults enjoyed the various stops. The bullet train return to Tokyo was a great opportunity to ride one. Would recommend.

Our tour guide, Mikami, was very knowledgeable about all of the places we went and added fun tutorials along the way. She kept everything on time and was extremely helpful in guiding us after the bullet train. Mt Fuji is amazing, Peace Park gorgeous, gondola ride exhilarating, and boat ride relaxing. Amazing day!

Overall a great experience. This tour is best for tourists who would like to visit a variety of landmarks near Mt Fuji and Hakone before dinner time, but there is no brief hiking segment for Mt Fuji . Total trip took around six to seven hours. This guided tour cost about $160 per adult, which seems fair given the tour guide, bus driver, optional lunch meal, and admission tickets to account for. The Mt. Fuji stop may feel slightly short, there is no brief hiking course involved. The optional Japanese-style lunch felt very much like a comforting, home-cooked meal. The Pirate Boat Lake Cruise segment may feel out of place, but Lake Ashi was wonderful and the ship is practically brand new with plenty of observation decks provided for some fantastic views. The tour guide kept people engaged with interesting facts about the landmarks of this tour and Japan in general throughout the bus ride. I strongly recommend reading the details of the tour itinerary to better understand the overall scope of this tour and the depth of each stop. Our tour group had plenty of vacant bus seats, enough for us to sit wherever we wanted. If seeing Mt Fuji is your main priority, try to hold off on booking until you can check the most accurate weather forecast. I’d recommend checking the 24-to-48-hour visibility index or live camera feeds right before you reserve your spot. This tour is not for you if you expect to climb Mt Fuji even for a brief moment.

It was raining when we left Tokyo, so I wasn't expecting much. I told myself that even if we couldn't see Mt. Fuji, I would just enjoy the day trip. The guide was very friendly and shared lots of interesting information during the bus ride, which made the journey enjoyable. To our surprise, the weather improved as we got closer to Mt. Fuji. When we reached the 5th Station, the clouds had cleared and we had an amazing view of the mountain. Seeing Mt. Fuji appear after such a gloomy start made the experience even more special. It turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip to Japan.

A fabulous day out. 8:30am-7pm.. Immaculate coach and informative guide.. Key stops at Mt Fiji, Lunxh, Shizuaka Peace Park, Hanone Goldola and thermals, Lake Cruise and returned to Toyko Station on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train).

Weather was good and the trip was very busy approximately 12 hour's the guide was fantastic very knowledgeable and the bus driver was good too. I would advise you take your own food though as the food we had was OK just.... so all in all a very busy day but well worth it
