There was little communication before the trip. Initially we thought it would start at 8am, but the night before. The guide told us he will pick us up at 7am. Luckily we were flexible. Apparently, we started early to avoid the Sunday traffic. Due to rainy weather, changes were necessary but was not clearly communicated until I asked. Our cruise was cancelled due to weather, so I had to suggest to go to Amazake Tea House as an alternative activity. Later as it was still raining, he suggested to skip open air museum, but we insisted on going. By time we got there, it stopped raining and it was worth the trip. The guide was definitely great at getting us from place to place as a driver. We had to initiate the conversation, ask about things we saw, and know where we wanted to go., eat, souvenir shop. The question we asked, he knew the answers, but we had to initiate. I recommend him as a driver as he got us where we wanted to go and kept us on time.
Ali was a fantastic guide who made sure we could see as much of Japan as possible in our time together. Excellent advice on where to enter the locations of interest, took us to a konbini when we needed supplies and gave us some great info about the area and living in Japan. Best money we’ve spent on a tour so far in Japan. As a small family group (2 adults and one child) this was a super convenient way to see Hakone!
Mr.Ali was really kind and is an amazing driver. He was very helpful to us. I fully recommend him.
Very knowledgeable, professional & flexible friendly guide.
The trip was excellent , the driver was knowledgeable, politie and showed us around the important places at Hakone. I highly recommend the trip and the driver who escorted us for this trip.
Paying a little extra for a private, personalized tour was absolutely worth it! From hotel pickup to drop-off, everything was seamless. We were taken to all the must-see spots while avoiding the large crowds, which made the experience even better. We made great memories along the way. Ali, our driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating facts throughout the tour.
Our guide Ali was fabulous, he knew the best places for views, timed everything perfectly to get to spots before they got busy with tour buses. Explained everything we needed to know, queued with us to take photos when we needed. He was very friendly, had a lovely comfortable car. We absolutely loved our tour. We were blessed with glorious weather too.
Max, my tour guide, was very respectful. He’s very helpful in taking pictures for me. He’s not bored to be with. I had fun with him. He’s one of the best. Keep it up
After doing a group tour the other day in Tokyo, we’d booked a small group tour and it ended up just being the 2 of us and Ali, our driver. Luckily we had a beautiful warm and sunny day which really helped with the photos, but our guide Ali, was amazing and got us around the region in great time and allowing us to personalise the trip and advising us on the best things to do. He was really informative, polite and a pleasure to spend the day with. He took us to a sushi restaurant for lunch too which we enjoyed. So, I’d highly recommend booking this trip if you’re thinking of getting out of town to visit the stunning region
We had the most incredible experience exploring the Fuji area with our tour guide, Ali. From the moment the tour began, Ali was warm, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. He shared fascinating cultural and historical insights that brought every location to life and made the entire day feel meaningful. Ali was also incredibly thoughtful and flexible, adjusting the itinerary to make sure we got the best views of Mt. Fuji (which we were lucky to catch!), as well as stopping at hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. His photography skills were an unexpected bonus—thanks to him! We also really enjoyed that he was able to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. If you’re visiting the Fuji area and want a tour that’s not only informative but also genuinely enjoyable and relaxed, we can’t recommend Ali enough. This day was a highlight of our trip while staying in Hakone.
