Monastero di Santa Caterina e tour della città di Dahab da Sharm El Sheikh

If you're a history enthusiast visiting primarily for St. Catherine's Monastery, this is definitely not the right tour for you. After giving a very generic introduction, the guide announced some free time and disappeared within 5 minutes. There was no real presence, no sharing of historical details, no storytelling, and not even enough time for us to explore on our own—we had only about an hour free time at the monastery. To the guide: if your knowledge of history is limited or you're not passionate about bringing it to life, the least you could do is give visitors enough time to explore independently, read about the monastery, and appreciate its significance at their own pace. Instead, we were rushed back to the van far too early, in order to spend half an hour shopping in Dahab and another half an hour waiting for lunch to be served. we were back in Sharm El Sheikh shortly after 3:30 p.m., and the guide was the first person to get off the van. I don't know if he had somewhere else he urgently needed to be, but it certainly felt as though the day had been cut short for reasons unrelated to the experience of the tour. For anyone who truly cares about the history of St. Catherine's Monastery, this itinerary is deeply disappointing.

Magical place with an intense atmosphere. Very knowledgeable guide, Sherif, and correct. Unfortunately, the trip was extremely uncomfortable due to a van that was too small to accommodate 13 people. We were in the back seats, four of us, and I had no room for my legs or to sit up straight due to lack of space.

The trip in itself was well organized. Disappointed by the fact the if you are not an orthodox christian you cannot see the relics of Saint Catherine. Other than that the Sinai landscape is a worthy experience in itself. I was put in a big group of russians only, but the guide made the effort to translate for me too. Lunch was ok, found some vegan options for me. Dahab is just a visit to a bunch of shops like you can find in any other egyptian city.

It was a super holy experience from all sides. The ride was smooth and comfy. The place itself is more than a historical tour. It is a spiritual journey. The service is great and the guide was super helpful

They got us there and back, and a nice team - driver and guide. But could be a bit smoother. Firstly, they got my hotel wrong for the pick up which is odd, since it was on the ticket they created. Spent 40 minutes going back and forth on WhatsApp but eventually they showed up. The van is a bit snug, so if it’s full, could be a bit tight. St Catherine’s was good, with a few coffee and toilet stops along the way. But I didn’t really understand the Dahab stop. We stopped for lunch at a restaurant just off the highway, between a parking lot and a field of rock and sand. And then we went to a designated shopping stop and straight back to Sharm. Didn’t see any of the town at all. Also we were charged for lunch which was supposed to be included (see pic). It was a lot of food at a very good price, but not included as they said. Wouldn’t it have been better to just let us spend some time in Dahab if we were going to buy our own lunch? Much nicer places near the shopping place than where we went, and we’d have also seen some of the town.

The minibus used to transport 15 people was unsuitable for this excursion. There were 4 of us in the back of the bus I was stuck between the window and a stout gentleman. Driving so many kilometres in such conditions is unacceptable. Even the driver told us that the conditions of travel were not adapted. When My neighbor was dozing off. I was even more compressed on the bus window. Two tall people had no room for their legs. For the one way we travelled more than 3 hours in these conditions! No safe in the minibus to rid us of a few things. Can't fasten the seat belt in the back. Very uncomfortable trip. I definitely do not recommend. Visit of Dahab non-existent. We ate there and were taken 30 minutes to a state shop where everyone came out in 5 minutes. Then back to Sharm El Sheikh. A traveler in the group with her husband told us that Tourex had promised her to eat by the beach and that we would have a choice of menu. The sea was visible a kilometer away and the same menu for everyone! The meal was okay. Frankly, getting up at 5:00 in the morning for an excursion in these conditions is not worth it. I thought we would climb Mount Sinai. absolutely not! the visit of Saint Catherine lasted about 30 minutes. we paid 2 € to visit the museum which was worth it, but is not very big. The guide told us that we could take a little trek in the mountain to get a nice viewpoint. when we asked him, while he was at the bar he told us go there and you will see... Disappointing day for our group of 4 and for the travelers stuck at the back of the bus with me, as well as for the big ones. The bus was too full. Run away. Chris

Bring snacks, enjoyed seeing the desert, overall a good day out, quiet an experience to see St Catherine Monastery

My wife and I decided to have a trip to Sharm El Sheikh and we found this activity online. This is the first time we have such a wonderful experience and adventure. The Monastery and Dahab historical citations provide you with good vibes and as overall experience, this was an exciting and adventurous.
