Itinerario

We had such a great time on this tour! Ricky was an amazing tour guide and shared so much information about the history and different places along the way. Highly recommend!
What a wonderful tour! Jose was knowledgeable and so accommodating for our family. We traveled with our family of 5, including our 4 year old son and teenage daughter who was recovering from a knee injury. He knew all the ins and outs of everything and helped us ensure our experience was top notch, starting with great communication even before he picked us up from our hotel. I highly recommend booking this experience!
This tour wasn't enough time. just to watch one ship through the locks and the IMAX movie was not worth the money
Biomuseo and miraflores lockes tour. Guide was wonderful but staff at miraflores lockes were rude, disrespectful and escalated drama rather than de-escalating a misunderstanding. I would recommend Julio but the staff at welcome center made it anything BUT welcoming
Julio was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the Panama Canal and helpful with what restaurants to go to
Thank you so much for your kind words about this great experience and for choosing Panamanian Adventures as your go-to tour company in Panama! We truly appreciate your support!

Eric, did a great job ensure the experience was smooth. I would recommend this as an easy way to see Panama City. Locks were amazing.
Our guide (George?) was very helpful and informative. It was very busy at the lock and we were grateful that our tall guide accompanied us at the lock and guided us through the procedures. The bio museum was interesting, the drive along the causeway too with advice about cycle hire also very helpful. Altogether a good tour!
Awesome experience!! Seeing the Canal up close was amazing! Imax and museum was great tok Learned a lot from the tour guide Ricky. Was really fun. Will Definitley book another tour with them before I head back to the states.
I’m a very positive person (you can see that the vast majority of my TripAdvisor reviews are 5.0 and very glowing), but this tour was disappointing for several reasons. Let me be clear that my comments are not directed at the guide, Maylin, who was very nice and pleasant, but to the company who put it together. First, the driver was 15 minutes late to pick us up (the guide was on time), which was surprising because every other driver had already told us that everyone in Panama City knows to plan for bad traffic throughout December, which is the height of the tourist season. This meant that we arrived at the Miraflores locks later than normal, meaning we barely had time to watch one ship (a Windstar) go through the locks before rushing to the imax movie, but more importantly, that all of the viewing spots along the rail were already taken, so that we couldn’t get a good view of the action. After the film (which was very good), our driver was again late (a miscommunication meant that the guide thought the driver would be staying in the parking lot, but he actually went to run another errand, so we were stuck waiting in the humid weather in the parking lot for another 20 minutes). The driver’s lateness these two times resulted in us getting back to our hotel at 1:10pm rather than 12:30, and we were starving. In addition to driver lateness, there was misleading information. First, the tour says that bottled water is included, but when we asked (while waiting outside in the heat), there was none available. Also, the tour when we booked it several months prior (see my attached photo) listed the only exclusion as the $17.22 per person ticket for the locks, but we were also asked to pay $20 each to enter the bio museum, which increased the effective price of the tour by $40, a not insignificant amount. I understand that the tour may have changed their inclusions, but we should have been notified about the change from our original booking, and they also should have honored the price/inclusions from our original booking. I wrote a note to contact the operator through TripAdvisor yesterday, but have not heard back. In terms of the value of the tour, it felt like the commentary at the Biomuseum was not really helpful, and we could have done that museum on our own, using the guides there and the interactive exhibits. Similarly, although there was good information about the locks while waiting for the late driver and on the way to the locks, the scene at the locks (because we ran late) was hectic, we couldn’t see well, and the rush of people going into the movie meant we lost our guide temporarily and just found our way to the movie, though she eventually caught up with us. Overall, it felt like we paid mostly for transportation (which was late), and the added negative of the extra $40 for tickets and the lack of bottled water (we didn’t bring any because we saw that it was included in the tour) made the experience somewhat disappointing (though both sites are worth visiting).
