Our guide (Rachid) was entertaining and very professional. He made our tour of the Medina Souks interesting and informative and gave us some valuable pointers to purchase genuine items from the myriad of Souks. The tour was a good way to get your bearings in the complex lanes and alleyways of the Medina.

It was a good experience with Mohammed, as our very knowledgeable guide. He’s from the “neighborhood”, so knows the layout of things very well. He was friendly and respectful, thoroughly taking us through the various souks while patiently waiting as we shopped. Would recommend him and the tour again!

Yahya is an ok person, but it is very clear he is paid to take us to very specific places that are for people with wealth and that he assumes that his clients are people of wealth. Once you were in the store, he goes and sits outside. You have to call him in to request he help you bargain or keep things fair. It just didn't feel right. It didn't feel like we could go and stop at various souks when we wanted to. He had an agenda. He wanted to take you to the expensive jeweler and expensive spice guy, and when I made it clear we were not wealthy people, he said I should have told him that ahead of time and recommended getting items from a junk shop in the central Square. With Google Maps, it is not even necessary to hire a guide. I think this was a waste of money, and we both walked away, feeling a little insulted, him by my questions and me by how he treated us once he realized I was not wealthy.

Guide very knowledgeable and had many side stories of interest. Thoughoughly recommend private tour than group. Move faster and more tailored to needs. Having said that, all guides have shops they deals with and all have similar formula of carpet, painting, leather. carves, argo oil shop etc. Dont excpect guide to help you barter - they work with locals

We loved the tour. We booked this for the very start of our trip and are glad that we did. Rachid G showed us and another couple round the markets, and we had a few key stops - our favourite was the herbalist and Wadid was our lovely host who talked us through all the herbs, spices, oils and medicines. Really helpful to understand the dos and don’ts of the medina before tackling haggling! Thanks Rachid, we had a great time.
