Fai un salto indietro nel tempo con questo affascinante tour della storica città di Malacca. La città di Malacca è un sito patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Fondata nel 1400, Malacca era un tempo uno dei più grandi porti commerciali del sud-est asiatico. Con forti influenze Portoghesi, Olandesi e britanniche, Malacca è ora lasciata con un ricco patrimonio e un mix unico di stili architettonici. Visita la strada dell'Armonia dove puoi vedere il più antico Tempio Cinese e Tempio Indù della Malesia. Passeggia tra le rovine della chiesa di San Paolo dove un tempo era sepolto San Francesco Saverio. Crociera fluviale da Taman Rempah Jetty, la crociera si fermerà al molo Flor DE La Mar dove termina la crociera. (Fiore del mare) è una replica dell'originale che è andato perduto al largo della costa di Sumatra e affondato nel 1511. costruito nel 1502 a Lisbona e una delle navi più belle del tempo. Malacca è diversa da qualsiasi altra cosa e non vorrai perderti una visita a questa straordinaria città storica.

Secondo la storia malese il matrimonio del sultano con la figlia dell'Imperatore provocò un drammatico afflusso di coloni cinesi perché quando arrivò la principessa portò con sé un seguito capace di dimensioni che includeva 500 ancelle. La sposa Ming si è stabilita a Bukit in Cina insieme al suo vasto entourage e da allora la collina è stata un'area dominata dalla Cina.
Costruita tra il 1660 e il 1700, luminosi edifici coloniali olandesi in terracotta rossa con finestre a feritoia e grandi porte con cerniere in ferro battuto.L'interno dello Stadthuys è bellissimo con scale bianche monumentali e alte finestre. Sembra un tipico edificio comunale olandese del 17 ° secolo.
L'esterno è prevalentemente in rovina e ricorda l'architettura portoghese. Un piccolo sentiero lastricato è ritagliato sulla cima della collina che conduce i visitatori all'interno delle rovine della chiesa. La chiesa è dedicata a San Paolo Apostolo e vedrai la sua statua dipinta di bianco.
Christ Church fu costruita nel 1753 per celebrare un secolo di occupazione olandese. L'esterno è immediatamente riconoscibile edificio rosso mattone con un'enorme croce bianca nella parte superiore. L'interno della cattedrale ha banchi fatti a mano di 200 anni, fanali decorativi e pestilenze che onorano i soldati e la gente del posto olandesi. Quando gli inglesi presero il controllo di Malacca, aggiunsero una banderuola e una campana alla Christ Church e la trasformarono da una chiesa protestante in una anglicana.
La chiesa di San Pietro è la più antica chiesa cattolica operativa in Malesia. Fu costruito nel 1710 su un terreno donato dall'olandese Maryber Franz Amboer. L'elemento più antico della chiesa è la campana, fabbricata a Goa nel 1908.
Il più antico luogo di culto buddista del paese, costruito nel 1646, è noto come il "Tempio della Nuvola Misericordiosa". Il tempio è dedicato a Kuan Yin, dea della misericordia. Una statua nera, dorata e vestita di rosso della dea si trova nella sala di preghiera centrale.
All'inizio degli anni '30, il residente britannico, su richiesta di un missionario francese, permise l'istituzione di un villaggio di pescatori di capanne di legno su un'area di terra paludosa vicino al mare. Originariamente si chiamava St. John Village e divenne un bastione per coloro che avevano origini portoghesi per preservare la loro religione, lingua, cultura e tradizioni. Oggi l'insediamento, a volte chiamato Mini Lisbona, comprende strade con nomi come D'Alberquerque, Sequera Eredia, D'Aranjo e Texeira.

We really enjoyed the day to Malacca because the Tour Guide Ben was very knowledgeable and kindness. We did see a lot historical buildings. Especially the River cruise was wonderful. The lunch was fantastic!

It was a great day out of busy KL. Nice drive to and from with a friendly driver. We went by car with only 4 passengers so it was a nice day. Worth having a look at this historical city.

<p>We loved our tour to Melaka. Viator was easy to book and e-vouchers makes the entire process easy. Also appreciate the courtesy hotel pickup n drop off. <br/> Stephen our tour guide was marvellous, an articulate storyteller. He was there to assist and without being intrusive.</p>
<p>This Malacca tour would have been an ideal one with an eager beaver for a tour guide with the name Gunar so with the driver also named gunar. we were picked up from our hotel at 8:45am as appointed for a 930 am departure for Malacca. there were 4 passengers then we went to pick up the rest from other hotels on the way to MATIC. we waited until 9:45am before we were told to be patient and wait for another couple who were late. the bus finally left MATIC at 10:15am to pick up 2 more passengers from the same hotel we stayed, where we were picked up at 8:45am. there are suppose to be 6 pax from our hotel but the pick up team never bothered to look for the 2 more passengers who were still taking their breakfast that caused the more than an hour delay by going back to pick them up at the hotel so the tour group can proceed to Malacca. We arrived in Malacca past 12 noon and we were rushed from one place to another to make up for the lost time. We finally had lunch at a local Chinese restaurant at past 2pm. after lunch, we were left at Jonker walk to take a stroll. then we went back to KL. while I was getting off the bus, the driver suddenly stepped on the bus accelarator that caused me to almost fell out of the bus. It's a good thing that my son as always extended his hands to help me descend from the bus and caught me. the tour guide nor the driver did not even bother to ask if i was ok but they just left. The pick up bus was nice but the tour bus used to go to Malacca was rickety and can hear all the engine noise instead of the tour guide's voice as we travelled and the seats are not comfortable. The tour guide forgot to mention the important informations about the places we went to it's a good thing, our tour guide/driver to Putrajaya the day before gave us a very good historical insights about Malacca maybe due to the complaints of the other passengers who were hungry and kept on buying food as the tour guide was chattering. The worst was I almost fell from the bus as I was getting off due to recklessness of the driver and they even saw i was using a walking stick that day due to a bad back. i hope viator will not engage the services of said tour company with rude employees and have a policy regarding late passengers.</p>

<p>Lovely trip wasted by the fact the guide would only allow us to visit the sites that he thought we should visit. He was not pleased when we asked to stop at an antiques stall and hurried us along to the next shop where he could buy the produce that he thought we should buy. If you advertise an English guide provide one! Not someone who thinks they speak English. We found ourselves apologising to other travellers when they asked us to translate what he was saying!</p>
<p>Big dissapointment for us. Pick up 20 min late, after 2 hours travelling from KL we expected much more. Most of the time in the bus, just short stops no real chance to explore and no walking on jonker street despite it was written in itinerary. Unfortunately wasting of day.</p>
<p>The place is worth the trip! But the guide was always in a hurry. The bus trip and lunch was longer than the actual trip to the place.</p>
<p>A little disorganized during departure. We were picked up more than an hour before departure. We departed 20minutes late. We visited lots of interesting sites. No time to linger at any spot. Tour guide was attentative. Answered all questions. Was not taken to traditonal Malacca restaurant.</p>
<p>A great day out of the hustle and bustle of KL taking in some of the history of Malaysia and its people.</p>
