Per esplorare questa zona di Lisbona è essenziale avere un veicolo. La Serra da Arrabida promette paesaggi ancora molto selvaggi e incontaminati. Il sito di Cabo Espichel è ancora poco conosciuto dai viaggiatori, eppure è così eccezionale. Gli amanti della natura e gli amanti degli spazi aperti ne saranno entusiasti. Ci prenderemo del tempo per esplorare il piccolo villaggio di Sesimbra. Circondato dalla sua magnifica spiaggia, questo villaggio di pescatori è rimasto molto autentico. Il pranzo è previsto a Sesimbra, dove potrete gustare le specialità locali. Ora percorreremo una delle strade più belle del Portogallo. Attraversa la Serra da Arrabida, un gioiello della natura allo stato puro. Sulla via del ritorno faremo una sosta a Cristo Re. Questa immensa statua domina la città di Lisbona e vi permetterà di godere di una vista eccezionale della capitale.

Il tempo di percorrenza da Lisbona a Capo Espichel è di circa 1,5 ore, a seconda del traffico.
Capo austero e selvaggio situato sull'orlo di spettacolari scogliere. All'interno di questo aspro paesaggio ci sono luoghi affascinanti, tra cui una chiesa, un possente faro e due serie di impronte di dinosauri. Cabo Espichel è un sito fantastico per apprezzare la natura allo stato grezzo.
Una delle località balneari più belle del Portogallo, Sesimbra è storicamente un'importante città di pescatori.
Classificato come monumento nazionale dal 16 giugno 1910, il castello di Sesimbra è l'ultimo dei castelli costieri portoghesi a rimanere in buono stato di conservazione ancora oggi.
Prendiamo la famosa strada N379, mitica e pittoresca, attraversa parte della Serra d'Arrabida. Questo parco naturale di 10.800 ettari è delimitato da un lato dalla montagna e dall'altro dalla costa di eccezionale bellezza.
Sulla via del ritorno, fermiamoci ad ammirare l'imponente statua del Cristo Rei. Questo santuario domina la città di Lisbona e consente di godere di una vista mozzafiato sulla capitale. È possibile prendere l'ascensore per raggiungere la cima della statua (pagamento in loco).
Il viaggio di ritorno dura circa 1 ora, il tempo può variare a seconda del traffico.

We loved the concept of a tour in a very comfortable van from the times we were kids (and it was a long time ago!). Moreover this almost a private tour, and the way you see the beauties of Lisbon region becomes different, I would say more intimate. The owner Laura passes you on the passion she has for her adopted motherland. If you wish to discover the region in an informal and friendly atmosphere, this is the tour you should choose.

After a week of sightseeing and walking and battling the crowds this trip was a respite for the senses. I felt like a VIP riding solo in my VW chariot with a charming and knowledgeable host Cristiano. I didn’t really know what to expect but was blown away by the beauty of the coastline. Cabo Espichel is a remote church and lighthouse with spectacular views and is well worth the long and winding drive. The Sesimbra castle is very walkable with a beautiful blue tiled church-I had not seen a church decor like this before. Cristiano arranged for a lunch seaside in Sesimbra which was quiet and the food was delicious. Expect to pay tourist prices. Then the drive to Setúbal along the coast through the Serra Arrábida is just breathtaking. It was slightly cloudy and even so it was gorgeous. The fortress in Setúbal was very interesting - very different from the castles I had visited. We were also able to make an unscheduled stop on the Almada side of the bridge to take in the view of Lisbon. Overall this was the perfect tour for my last day in Portugal. I’m so glad an opted for something away from Lisbon and places North. This is a must see part of this beautiful country!!

Excellent time spent in the company of Laura and Cristiano. Super interesting explanations, very good atmosphere. The view was magnificent. We only want to go back! Do not change anything from the reservation until the excursion. Not to be missed if you are passing through Lisbon!
