Il Palazzo e il Parco Pena, a Sintra, costituiscono una fantastica gita di un giorno da Lisbona. Il colorato castello romantico del XIX secolo si trova in cima a una collina con splendide viste panoramiche sull'oceano ed è un punto culminante per molti visitatori in Portogallo.
Proseguendo lungo la strada di Pena verso Penedo, un incantevole villaggio nella Serra de Sintra (montagna di Sintra), assolutamente fuori dai circuiti turistici che vi sorprenderà. Accompagnati dallo splendido paesaggio del Parco Nazionale di Sintra-Cascais e dalla meravigliosa viste del Castelo dos Mouros (castello moresco) e del Palácio da Pena (palazzo Pena), che sarà sempre nel tuo campo visivo ovunque tu vada
Cascais è la principale destinazione turistica della costa di Lisbona. Questa è una tradizionale e affascinante cittadina di pescatori portoghese, che si è sviluppata responsabilmente fino a diventare una famosa località turistica.

Marcos is a wonderful guide and have a knowledge that are solid and deep. This gives me as customer a experience were I know more that I could expected after a day. His welcoming personality makes the hole day even more joyful to experience. The driver was on time, no problem, and bringes us easy and comfy the hole way. I will strongly recommend a day with this guiding team.
We were in Lisbon during the first week of July and really excited to visit the Pena Palace at Sintra but it was just our luck that they had to close it on the day of our travel due to the increased risk of fires from the heatwave in Portugal at that time. So missing out on this experience is why I've voted 3/5 stars - though I have to make it very clear that this is nothing that the organisers could have done anything about. I do wish that they would have informed us at the collection point because we would have most probably explored options of not attending the trip and seeing if there was any refund possibilities. However, despite that major hiccup that was outside of the control of the tour group, our guides Gui and Marcos were incredible. Super friendly, approachable, and they did all they truly could have to compensate for the palace situation. Their history knowledge was impressive and learned a lot from them. We also appreciated how timely they were and it feels like we definitely covered more by doing Sintra with them, instead of the usual suggestion which is to take the train to Sintra ourselves. Going with the tour group meant that we were also able to stop off at the most western point, get some nice photos at the 'worlds end' and take in the scenery (though I wish we had more time there). And as we parted ways they also made time to go through a list of personal, local recommendations of places to visit whilst we continued to remain in Lisbon. P.S. Another point worth noting, you can't have food and drinks on the coach which is not a big deal given that no leg of the journey was more than 1 hour, but I didn't know and it did mean that I had to gulp down my coffee before getting on board!

The tour was very good, it lasted 10 hours, which was a bit long, but it is worth it; the guide was super friendly, helpful, and shared a lot of information.

The driver Clay and our tour guide Marcos were both great! Marcos’s fun history telling with witty jokes made our day. He was a great organizer who managed our group very well. Strongly recommended!
