Matheus our guide was amazing! He had an extensive knowledge of the areas we toured. He was very personable and made fantastic recommendations. We had the best parts of each location and seemed to avoid overly crowded or slow areas. It felt like a well thought out yet flexible day. He took us to a lovely restaurant with an incredible view and phenomenal food. He gave us several recommendations and we actually got three out of four that he suggested for lunch. He did not steer us wrong on anything! If you do this tour and you choose him make sure you take him up on his suggestions because they're all incredibly good. He definitely knows what he's doing and this was a phenomenal experience. Just do it! It is a little more pricey than a group tour but worth every penny!!!!!
Joao was amazing! He taught us so much about Portugal and world history. He showed us interesting sites, yummy food, and shopping spots! Our family enjoyed this tour immensely!

Picta Travel is the BEST!!! John Fernandes was our guide and host for our 1st time visit to Lisbon. His knowledge of Portugal’s history was excellent and as a native to Lisbon he brought the cultural alive. We chose what we wanted to see for our private day tour from previewing YouTube’s but forget those YouTube videos and just spend a day with John. You will experience more and want to come back for another visit. He even told us about my ancestor’s history in the Portugal Azores islands and he was able to find Azores food for us to try too. After a day with John I feel a deeper love for my Portuguese heritage. Thank you John. Most importantly be sure to be open to John’s ideas and suggestions and you won’t be sorry.

We had an excellent time with John F! He was incredibly knowledgeable- we saw all of the highlights and John knew the history of each area, structure, and overall history & culture of Lisbon. He took us to a locals’ restaurant where we were the only tourists & had an excellent meal. Highly recommend spending the day with John F!
As frequent travelers who have taken many tours, we can confidently say this was the best tour experience we’ve ever had in Lisbon. Gabriela was professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. The flexibility of the tour allowed us to explore the city at our own pace while still benefiting from her expert guidance. We were able to visit focal points in town and not killed our feet lol. John Fernandes did a great job taking us around the city to see the historical sites. His knowledge of the history and stories not in the history books elevated the experience. Had lunch in a very small restaurant with local food, very good. We didn't realize that there are many hills, some very steep that has old San Francisco cars to get up to the next level. Wear comfortable shoes. Many cobblestone streets.
Seeing Lisbon through the eyes of our local guide was exceptional. Gabriela shared her knowledge and passion for Lisbon making certain that we experienced the city in the best way. The personal touches afforded us added to our experience. So nice to tour with just the two of us and our guide in a car vs a huge group in a bus. Highly recommend this place experience!
