Itinerario

This excursion was perfect from start to finish. We had the most adorable, upbeat bus driver and she indicated points of interest all along the way. Our tour boat was clean and the ride was smooth. The crew-Alex and AJ-were attentive, sweet and kind. Captain Kyle Bailey was nothing short of amazing. His narration was next level- he knows every cove of this passageway-plus where the eagles’ nests were, the history of the lighthouse, the background of Totem Bight State Park, and the explorers who ventured into this territory. As if this trip wasn’t perfect enough, Alex and AJ served delicious, locally sourced snacks to us passengers-and as a parting gift we came away with the recipe for their amazing salmon dip!
The boat cruise was enjoyable and weather was perfect. The crew was nice and informative. The taste bits they shared with us were nice and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour.
Excellent excursion from Ketchikan along the coast of the Ketchikan Sound. We were picked up in downtown Ketchikan and brought to the dock and then back to town after the tour. The tour itself was informative, pleasant, safe and well organized. The deckhands were helpful and polite. Highly recommended!
We booked this tour for our recent Alaskan cruise having already visited Ketchikan multiple times and wanting to do something different. We are so glad we did because it was such a great few hours on the water! There was a rep waiting for us in The Mill at Ward Cove (where our ship docked) with whom we could check in and ask questions. Two of our party walked to the boat while the other two took the provided van transport; although the walk was very short (less than five minutes and on a very easy path), having the option of transport was handy for many on the tour. We were welcomed onto the boat by the three crew who gave us a safety briefing and off we went! Our captain was excellent (I was super impressed with how well she navigated both the boat and the mic at the same time!) and had really interesting tidbits to share with us about Ketchikan as well as the landscape we were seeing. She was reactive to her passengers and picked up on questions/wonderings we had even though she was outside of earshot and added additional details based on our silent questions. We were particularly excited to see Totem Bight from the water as we've visited the park by land a few times and gained a whole new perspective on the totem poles. We saw multiple eagles, at least one nest, and some really beautiful scenery. A snack plate was provided, complete with local ingredients which we really enjoyed. Also the hot chocolate...I've read about it in other reviews and it is really good! We had my sister who has special needs along with us and the crew treated her very well, providing her with Pepsi, and smiling the whole time. The crew of the boat worked well together, made their guests feel like just that: guests, and took pride in the work they are doing. It's a small detail, but I appreciated all of them greeting us as we embarked and sending us off as we disembarked. This is a first-class organization and I would happily recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you for making our afternoon so enjoyable!
It was a great excursion! It started with Dan who took us from the meeting point to the boat. He was a really funny guy who gave us very interesting information on the way to the boat and also on the way back. Captain Kyle and his two deckhands looked after us really well. The hot chocolate and the snacks were very much appreciated and very tasty. We saw the totem poles, the lighthouse, and lots of eagles. There were only a small number of people on the boat, which was really great. We can definitely recommend this excursion.
Experience is amazing and a great tour for the pride. Superb and friendly service
Friendly and knowledgeable staff provided lots of interesting information about the area’s history as well as present day community. We saw whales, eagles, and sea lions. Delicious local snacks and drinks were provided at no cost. I highly recommend this tour.
We were met at the pier by Noah who was very helpful and friendly. Larson was our bus driver to the dock where the tour begins. He was funny and shared interesting information on the way to the dock. The crew on the boat, Alex, Emily, and the captain were very friendly and accommodating. There were 17 in the group and we were all able to find seating and have views from our seats and the outdoor deck. We indeed saw a Lighthouse, Totems, and Eagles while learning interesting facts about the area, animals, and history. We were also able to see harbor seals and a whale (bubble feeding) during our tour making it an incredibly memorable experience. The snacks, including gluten free options, were delicious and made or created locally. Our tour lasted about 2 hours and when we returned to the dock, a local driver was there to drive us back. She was also friendly and shared things about living in Ketchikan. Because of the tour, I had a general idea of where to look for the eagles as our cruise ship sailed back through the area on the way to our next destination!
Spot on experience! Great food on board, and the captain was extremely knowledgeable.Spotting eagles and seals was the highlight of the trip!
Tour was amazing! I saw whales, eagles, and seals. They also served a delicious plate of Alaskan delicacies. The whole crew was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!
