Lacock e Castle Combe - Tour privato del pomeriggio

It was a day of fun, lots of laughter, discovery and learning experience with my guide, Daniel. I was shown places coupled with videos, and these villages came alive. He connects these unique, charming countryside with what I am familiar with. Very clever indeed! I also learned about the culture, the history of some of the areas and buildings, which I've never known before. Daniel is considerate, has a great sense of humour, and definitely has a good knowledge of Castle and Combe, and some of the plants too! I've had a really enjoyable day. The only regret I have is not taking a photo of the quaint and charming house/garden of where we had cream tea with homemade warm scones, clotted cream and jam (which were yummy); and not asking if I could buy a jug of the homemade plum jam made by the lovely, funny and interesting host! What a joy listening to her talk. Overall, it was an afternoon well worth spending.

Not all tour guides are actually from the area, and that’s what is special about Daniel, and Bath Inside Tours. We traveled the charming back roads on our way to Lacock and Castle Combe, that only a local could know. Our journey was sprinkled with tales of historical characters and fictional ones as well, walking in the footsteps of Harry Potter, Mr. Darcy , and The Crawley's, and finished with the most memorable Cream Tea at a local cottage and B & B outside Castle Combe. Beautiful villages, great conversations, and wonderful photos and memories to take home. Truly the BEST tour guide, and experience in The Cotswolds!

This private tour was a fantastic way to experience the Cotswolds. The guide was knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about the city. The tour was well thought out with a great flow, and a stop for tea at a cozy local bed and breakfast was the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Bath!

Against the odds, Daniel accommodated our request for a tour on very short notice. It was the best half day of our trip! We enjoyed the drive through the countryside immensely and being able to wander through Lacock and Castle Combe with Daniel was a treat. He is able to connect the sights with past and present information and stories but without causing information overload. Our stop at cozy Fosse Farm for a Cotswold Cream Tea with Caron was a perfect end to our day.

We had a truly wonderful experience on this trip and we are very grateful to Daniel for the care and dedication he put into organizing it for us. Daniel is an extremely flexible guide who always gave us plenty of time to take photos, patiently answered all our questions, and made the whole trip feel as if we were travelling with family. He was also very prompt in responding to all my messages before the trip and even helped me plan the other half-day of our visit, which we really appreciated. Including Lacock Abbey in the itinerary was a fantastic surprise that truly exceeded our expectations, as it allowed us to step into real historical settings that have also been featured in famous films. We especially loved all the fascinating stories he shared along the way, as well as the movie scenes he showed us, which helped us understand the history and atmosphere of each place in such an engaging and memorable way. Daniel was also incredibly thoughtful towards my mum, which meant a lot to us. On top of that, he kindly took us on an extra tour with his car to visit places we hadn’t managed to see by ourselves — a gesture we deeply appreciated. Last but not least, the lovely cream tea experience with his friend, who warmly invited us, made the day even more special. It was one of those unexpected moments that truly stay in your heart. It’s often the small details that make a big difference, and Daniel clearly understands this. By the end of the day, we felt as if we had known him for a long time. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone who wants not only to see beautiful places, but also to feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Truly flawless from start to finish. Thank you, Daniel!

Daniel is an incredible Tour guide! The attention to detail, well curated, and hospitable tour is highly recommended. The entire tour is filled with magic. Had a WONDERFUL time with Daniel on our Lacock and Castle Combe tour! He was well informed about the history of the sites, as well as knowing the more current uses of the areas as filming locations. Definitely a highlight to our trip to Bath!

What a wonderful tour! Daniel was an amazing guide, sharing so many unusual and entertaining stories about the area. We loved spending the day with him walking and driving through the villages. We started the morning feeding ducks, ate at the perfect pub for lunch and then explored an estate currently shooting a show on Netflix. What a treat! I highly recommend any tour with Daniel as your guide. You won’t be disappointed!

Daniel was the best guide for our all too brief visit to the Cotswalds. He's an engaging and knowledgable guide, and we really appreciated how he asked for our input in setting up the visit. Pre-tour communication was excellent - there were no questions about where and when to meet. We had such a lovely afternoon and never felt rushed. We highly recommend him if you have limited time but would like to visit a couple of villages, and we will definately book another tour with him next time our travels take us to the Bath area.

Absolutely outstanding experience with Daniel. He is so knowledgeable and personable. Our afternoon surpassed all expectations. Daniel shared a lot of facts about the two villages and included video clips from movies that had been filmed in them. The cream tea at the end was a delightful surprise.
