Itinerario

An incredible experience! We did two tours with them: La Leona Waterfall + Tubing, and we recommend both experiences 100%. La Leona Waterfall: I went with my 66-year-old mom, and from the first moment the guide, Abimahel (Abi), was attentive to her and helping her throughout the entire tour. My mom never thought she would be able to experience an adventure like this, but thanks to Abi's patience and help, she did it and enjoyed it very much. The terrain is not too complex, although there are some parts where you have to go over rocks and through some slightly uncomfortable places. The last part, to enter the waterfall by holding onto a rope, is indeed a bit more challenging because the current pulls you in the opposite direction. At all times the guide was helping us and especially looking out for my mom. In addition, Abi took a lot of photos of us during the whole trip, so we also took home incredible memories of the experience. We crossed the river, swam, went into the caves, and even saw bats. Everything was spectacular! Of all the beautiful places in Costa Rica that we have visited, this one is definitely in our top 3. What we liked most is that it has a lot of adventure and several types of experiences without it being an extreme sport or of advanced difficulty. Tubing: We also went tubing on the Colorado River, which is very close to La Leona Waterfall, so it is perfect for combining both experiences. At first we were a little afraid, especially for my mom. However, the short hike to get to the river is not very long and is quite accessible. She was able to do it with a little help. And once we got into the river it was magical. We thought it was going to be a much more extreme experience and we were a little scared, but in reality it is a super nice ride and very relaxing and exciting at the same time. There are calm sections, then rapids, and then calm again. And that is how the tour continues for approximately an hour. We had the same guide for both tours. Abi was always very kind, fun, attentive, and willing to help us with everything we needed, especially with my mom. Without a doubt, an experience we would repeat and that we highly recommend, especially if you want to get to know a more adventurous and authentic side of Costa Rica without needing to be experts or extreme athletes.
Beautiful! Adventurous! Such a fun hike and tubing trip down the river. We travelled with a group from 8 to 73 years old. The staff was wonderful - kept us safe and comfortable the entire time. Safety was clearly a priority for them. They made sure we all had a great time, enjoyed the rapids (tubing) and got up to the waterfall no matter our age and ability. Highly recommend! 10/10. Special shout out to Rodrigo, Abimael, and Johan.
This was an awesome experience and our guides were extremely helpful. One of the best activities we have done in CR. This company did a great job and were super friendly. Would recommend!
Awesome! Wonderful guide, David. 4 and 6 year old loved it. Climbing, jumping, swimming, raging waterfall.
It was a phenomenal experience, and even better were the people who worked there. We had a flat tire Bernie, the owner, personally drove more than three miles to change our tire just so we can experience the tour. He even told us where to go to get our tire fixed once the tour was over. We were clueless otherwise. Our tour guide, Pablo, was also amazing. I underestimated the physical activity required for this tour and felt that I slowed the group down. Pablo was extremely patient with me and made his job exponentially difficult. He made sure I got through the hike safely and had a great experience.
Walk through a river, hike along the rocky shore, and swim to a waterfall! Steven was an awesome guide with a lot of great information about the area, and safety was always on his mind.
Incredible experience! A must do if your in the Liberia area. Steven was the perfect guide. My 2 adult kids loved it as well.
An experience we will never forget! Steven was the best guide. So fun and knowledgeable - and always keeping our safety in mind. If you get the chance definitely book this hike.
Our guides, David and Aby, were incredible! They both had cultural insights to add throughout the hike and made sure we all were safe the entire trip! The waterfall itself was beautiful and the path to get there was unique, as you have to swim through the water to get there! I can’t recommend this trip enough and a special thanks to David and Aby for making it even better!
Terrific adventure hike / bouldering / and waterfall experience. Truly unlike anything we’ve done before (and we’ve done a lot!). Unless you and all your party are very strong swimmers, make sure to take / wear a life vest. You will be crossing fast running water in some spots and actually SWIMMING to cross in a couple of spots that are >8-10 feet deep (depending on the level of the water from the mountain). Water shoes / hiking shoes also important. My youngest was 11 and I would definitely not take kids younger than that. A truly beautiful spot and not stressful if you’re prepared. Have fun!
