well organized, cool people leading the trips, great experience. 10/10 recommendation!
Just a fantastic diving trip today! Super organized, very friendly and professional team where you feel safe immediately. The dives themselves were beautiful – great visibility and impressive underwater world. Highly recommended!
I had three amazing dives at dive sites near Sulug and Mamutik Island and a nice lunch on one the islands. The tour was well organized and I was able to book very spontaneously. The equipment was in good condition and the instructors were very experienced and knowledgeable. You can’t do anything wrong by booking this trip.
Very friendly and experienced instructor, team with good atmosphere.
Was an amazing experience, saw loads of beautiful wildlife. Our guide was lily and she made the experience so much fun.
nice trip。 dive leader LILY very nice and friendly
Had a great dive day with Go Aquatic and Lilly was a great instructor that made sure everything went smooth and took great pictures!
Lily is an amazing and fun instructor. I hadn’t dived in three years, but she made everything feel easy and enjoyable. I highly recommend her.
We decided not to dive because several important safety-related points were unclear and inconsistent. Initially, we were told that the planned depth would be 20 meters, although according to recreational diving rules we should not exceed 18 meters. When we raised this concern, the response was that “it’s only 2 meters”. We explicitly asked to stay within 18 meters and to wait for us if needed, as we did not want to violate these limits. After that, the plan was changed and we were told the dive would not go deeper than 18 meters. However, the situation felt confusing, and this understanding was shared by more than one person — so it did not feel like a simple misunderstanding. Additionally, with very poor visibility (1–2 meters), there were no clear descent signals and no buddy check before entering the water. We were advised to stay close to each other, but as soon as I attempted to descend, I could not see anyone at all due to near-zero visibility. Part of the group was carried away by the current and ended up approximately 15 meters away, making it unrealistic to stay together. After we surfaced, the instructor asked us to hold onto a rope in the water, while the boat slowly moved us to a slightly different position. This was explained by saying that the entire group had been carried away by the current and that this was not the intended descent point. This indicated that the dive was initially attempted from an incorrect location, despite the strong current and near-zero visibility. The dive still appeared to be planned under these conditions. Only after we clearly stated that we would not continue did everyone return to the boat, and the decision was made to move to a different dive site. I also noticed responses from the dive center to other reviews stating that a buddy check was performed and verified by the instructor. Based on our experience, this did not happen. This discrepancy between public responses and what actually occurred further reduced our trust in the process. I also noticed a response from the dive center to another review stating that they always follow a “5-point descent”. In our situation, this procedure felt particularly important due to very strong waves, strong current, and a large amount of floating tree trunks around us. In such conditions, clear and structured descent procedures are essential. Based on our experience and written communication in WhatsApp, this procedure is not used for fun dives, which directly contradicts the statement in previous public responses. Because of all this, we chose not to dive as we did not feel safe. Safety procedures and clear communication should never be optional. I would not recommend this dive center, especially for beginners or in challenging conditions.
We regret that your experience with us did not meet your expectations. 1. The sea conditions around Kota Kinabalu are typically calm with only mild current. On that day, there were no rough sea warnings issued by the Meteorology Department. During the briefing, the divemaster explained that the maximum depth of the dive site is around 26 m, but the planned dive depth would remain at 18 m. All three dives were logged, and the dive logs confirm that no standards were breached and all dives were conducted within safe depth limits. 2. Regarding the 5-point descent procedure (signal, orientation, regulator, time, deflate/descend), our divemaster followed the required steps. Hand signals were given, the dive orientation was briefed, all divers had their regulators in place, dive computers were used to track time and depth, and everyone was properly deflating and descending together. 3. The divemaster clearly briefed all divers to conduct buddy checks before entering the water. Performing the buddy check with your dive partner is the diver’s responsibility before each dive. 4. We sincerely regret that heavy rain the day before affected the water visibility. Despite this, our team made every effort to select the best possible dive sites within the marine park to ensure the safest and most enjoyable experience under the circumstances.
My advanced scuba diving experience with the team was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The entire crew was incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our instructor, [Instructor’s Name], was exceptionally patient and thorough—he made us feel completely safe and relaxed underwater. The dive briefings were detailed, the equipment was in perfect condition, and the logistics were smoothly handled with a strong emphasis on safety . Wonderful diving experience in KK. We saw several sharks. Strongly recommend!
