Il tour inizia con una vista su Gerusalemme dal Monte degli Ulivi. Discendiamo dal monte passando il più antico cimitero ebraico di Gerusalemme risalente a 3.000 anni fa. Attraversiamo la valle di Kidron dove ci sono tombe ebraiche risalenti al I secolo d.C. e entrate nella Città Vecchia attraverso la Porta del Letame. Continuiamo verso il Monte del Tempio, un luogo sacro che un tempo ospitava l'antico Tempio ebraico e oggi ospita la Cupola della Roccia e la Moschea di Al-Aqsa. A volte l'ingresso al Monte del Tempio è limitato dalle autorità e in tali circostanze visiteremo invece la Torre di David. Successivamente visitiamo il Davidson Center, un parco archeologico adiacente al Monte del Tempio con le strutture del Primo e del Secondo Tempio scavate. Visitiamo il sito scavato e vediamo resti antichi di vari periodi storici. Alla fine del tour si ritorna al tuo hotel.

The Jerusalem Temple Mount & Dome of the Rock Tour was excellent. Transportation from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and return was well organized. The guide, Dorit, was knowledgable and passionate, and it was a pleasure to listen to her. The visit of the Temple Mount was the highlight of my stay in Israel.
Having been to Israel many times before.... actually getting access to the Temple Mount this visit, guided by someone who knew the history and religious sensitivities, was a fantastic experience. Dorit's enthusiasm and energy was infectious.

My wife and I recently visited this area on a guided tour. Lots of history to learn! The Dome is the 3rd most sacred site of Islam (after Mecca and Medina). It is also the location of a former Jewish Temple. An absolute must when in Jerusalem.
