È una moschea e un'ex chiesa che funge da importante sito culturale e storico a Istanbul, in Turchia. Ultimo di tre edifici ecclesiastici ad essere eretto successivamente sul sito dall'Impero Romano d'Oriente, fu completato nel 537 d.C. Il sito fu una chiesa greco-ortodossa dal 360 d.C. al 1453, tranne per un breve periodo come chiesa cattolica latina tra la quarta crociata e il 1261. Dopo la caduta di Costantinopoli nel 1453, servì come moschea fino al 1935, quando divenne un museo. Nel 2020, il sito è diventato ancora una volta una moschea.
La Moschea Blu di Istanbul, conosciuta anche con il suo nome ufficiale, Moschea del Sultano Ahmed, è una storica moschea imperiale di epoca ottomana situata a Istanbul, in Turchia. Fu costruita tra il 1609 e il 1617 durante il regno di Ahmed I e rimane ancora oggi una moschea funzionante. Attira anche un gran numero di turisti ed è uno dei monumenti più iconici e popolari dell'architettura ottomana.

L'Obelisco di Teodosio è l'antico obelisco egiziano del faraone Thutmose III, eretto per la prima volta durante la XVIII dinastia egizia. Fu ricostruito nell'Ippodromo di Costantinopoli dall'imperatore romano Teodosio I nel IV secolo d.C.
È un'antica colonna di bronzo presso l'Ippodromo di Costantinopoli nell'attuale Istanbul, in Turchia. Fa parte di un antico tripode sacrificale greco, originario di Delfi e trasferito a Costantinopoli da Costantino il Grande nel 324.

Il Palazzo Topkapı fu costruito dal sultano Maometto II (1444-1445 e 1451-1481) durante gli anni 1460-1478, in seguito alla conquista di Istanbul. This was exactly what we wanted. We saw the top spots. Had a very informative guide that managed our time really well. Very thoughtful. Highly recommend. He made a special effort to point out things he thought we'd be interested in seeing. Helped us find a souvenir coin for our child who collects coins from countries we visit.
