First Turkish bath experience & was a little nervous. Kismet & Ayse were amazing and guided me through each step. The historical building is beautiful. Highly recommend!
Wonderful to experience a historic Turkish Hamam. The building is interesting and the staff is attentive.
No wonder this made it in the book “1,000 Things to Do Before You Die!” Phenomenal, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Great to do at the end of a long day of travel.
If you choose to enjoy a hamam experience during your visit to Istanbul, then book this 300 year-old gem. I did the Ottoman service. It was a cleansing, wonderful ritual with excellent service.

Mandatory experience when visiting Istanbul, the important thing is to be lucky to catch a good masseuse. Many of them are Asian and work in hotels for a pleasant and soft experience. If you want to dare you have to go to the hammam for local but I do not think that the experience can be truly original because it is always adapted to the tourist, however pleasant. Absolutely to do
Both my wife and I were extremely happy with our first exposure to Turkish bath. We bought the Ottoman package for its completeness. The cost is rather high when I compare with other experiences in Budapest, Thailand and Hong Kong. But the environment of Cağaloğlu is unique. Regarding the service, my wife was very happy with Mekel (?) for her gentle and caring manner. She enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. The tellak handling me was Erdal. His treatment was more on the macho side. It was fun and very enjoyable. As it was our first time to the Cağaloğlu, as tourists we bought very little cash with us and very few personal items as the staff of Cağaloğlu keeps telling us that they will provide everything. And they did. As a result I regret for not having enough cash to tip Erdal and Mekel. I bet I will return and request the same service by them in my next trip to Istanbul.
