Da non perdere la più sorprendente rievocazione dell'Inti Raymi, il Festival del Sole, la celebrazione più importante dell'impero Inca per celebrare il solstizio d'inverno e la stagione del raccolto; l'inizio del nuovo anno solare. Con questo biglietto salterai la fila per l'acquisto il giorno dell'evento che dista 20 minuti dal luogo dell'evento.

L'Inti Raymi o Festival del Sole, il 24 giugno di ogni anno a Cusco, ha 3 cerimonie. Hai la possibilità di sederti nelle seguenti sezioni: Arancione (Preferita), Rossa (Standard) o Verde (Economica) e anche la possibilità di acquistare solo i biglietti o anche l'autobus turistico per l'evento principale. L'Inti Raymi prevede 3 cerimonie, 2 delle quali aperte al pubblico ma l'evento principale è riservato a chi ha la prenotazione del biglietto. E poiché tutte le strade di Cusco sono chiuse in questa data, avrai bisogno di un trasporto dalla piazza principale di Cusco alla fortezza di Sacsayhuaman dove si svolge la rievocazione di Inti Raymi. Questo tour include il trasporto, il pranzo al sacco, il biglietto d'ingresso, il programma sia in quechua che in inglese in modo da poter seguire ciò che viene detto, un DVD souvenir, inoltre il nostro accompagnatore turistico e il nostro staff accompagneranno ogni autobus per assisterti durante il trasporto .

Perfect seats. But it was difficult to get to the stage. It took us almost 2 hours from Plaza the Armas to the 3rth part on the stage. Maybe it is better to sell this trip only with pick-up!
I paid too much for this show. I already paid top dollar then was told a day before that the transport was not included even though i received email confirming I paid for my transport and lunch. So i had to pay additional $40... NOT impressed! We were transported to the site way too early. The start of the celebration was past 2pm but we were transported there about 11am. The Celebration/show itself was ok and the performers were great. But after watching the Corpus Christi celebrations and the many parade/festivals before the Inti Raymi, the Inti Raymi celebrations itself was an anti-climax. I would have just stayed at the Plaza de Armas to watch the Inti Raymi parade around the plaza.
The street market is great. Speciality is Ponchos of all shapes and sizes. From Ladies high quality to Men's coarse outdoor types. All are good value Lots of local silver jewellry and leather goods. Woven products such as wall hangings are also great value. Make it a day trip from Quito, stop at Cayambe to see the Equator line, view Mt Imbabura and the nearby waterfall. Arrive and lunch at the restaurant Inty Huasi, 4 course meal for $10. Then do the market. Leave by 4pm as the drive back to Quito can get choked with traffic. Look for tours on Viator to do this.
