Itinerario
Il quartiere di Alfama è il più antico e tradizionale di Lisbona. Iniziare il tour in questa zona tipica di Lisbona, molto diversa da tutte le altre, ti permetterà di conoscere questo quartiere e comprendere meglio la storia della città e il modo in cui è cresciuta.
Alla fine del quartiere dell'Alfama si trova un'area (Campo das Cebolas) di alto valore storico, le rovine dell'antico porto romano. Qui vedrai parte delle rovine del porto e scoprirai l'influenza e l'importanza che il popolo romano ebbe a Lisbona e in Portogallo diversi secoli fa.
Questa piazza monumentale e meravigliosa, affacciata sul fiume Tago, che era l'antica porta d'accesso alla città di Lisbona, è attualmente la piazza più importante della città. Qui faremo una sosta per farti vedere la piazza, per spiegare perché è così importante e anche per spiegare come è avvenuto il devastante tsunami del 1755 e le conseguenze sociali e architettoniche.
Dopo esserci fermati a Piazza del Commercio, pedaleremo per circa 10 minuti, attraverso le strade del centro di Lisbona, fino a raggiungere un'altra piazza importante di Lisbona, chiamata Rossio. Un'altra meravigliosa piazza della nostra città, dove si trovano il Teatro Nazionale, la prima grande stazione ferroviaria di Lisbona e l'enigmatica Chiesa di São Domingos. Oltre a questi monumenti, qui puoi scoprire anche alcuni dei negozi più antichi e leggendari.
Ancora poche centinaia di metri e raggiungeremo Praça dos Restauradores, che ha al centro il monumento che ricorda la restaurazione dell'indipendenza del Portogallo nel 1640. Qui verrà spiegato perché il Portogallo ha perso la sua indipendenza per 60 anni. Fiancheggiata da vecchi cinema e teatri, questa piazza segna l'inizio dell'Avenida da Liberdade, la più importante di Lisbona.
Il monumentale ascensore di Santa Justa, costruito oltre 100 anni fa, è uno dei simboli più conosciuti di Lisbona. Qui faremo una breve sosta per spiegare il motivo della sua esistenza e la grande importanza che ebbe.
Questo è il punto più alto della vecchia Lisbona; qui, in questa posizione unica, si ha una vista straordinaria su tutta la città.
Accanto alla Chiesa e al Convento di Graça si trova uno dei punti panoramici più famosi di Lisbona, che offre una splendida vista sul Castello di São Jorge. Mentre siete lì, potete anche approfittare per visitare la chiesa.
In questa posizione, dove si svolge il mercato di strada più famoso della città (martedì e sabato), oltre a una fantastica vista sul fiume Tago, puoi vedere da vicino il Monastero di São Vicente e il Pantanal Nazionale, due dei monumenti più iconici della città.

Super beautiful day visiting Lisbon with family. Miguel, our guide, was amazing; he even gave us a personalized tour since we were just the five of us in the family. He spoke French very well. We really enjoyed the tour and the guide. Easy, pleasant, and uncomplicated!

Guide was 40 mins late and her English was not good. Minimal hand signals caused my wife to crash into her

Maria was our bike quide. She made us feel very comfortable, our ages ranged from 71 to 13. She accommodated every need and even fixed a derailed chain along the way. She was very informative about the history of Lisbon and geography.

Maria & Miguel were wonderful, lots of history telling and great personalities. Insightful, adaptable, friendly. Took pictures for us. Showed us sights we never would have found on our own. Would recommend.
