L'Arco di Charents, punto panoramico da cui, nelle giornate limpide, si apre la vista sul Monte Ararat e sulla valle sottostante. È il luogo ideale per le prime foto e per introdurre la storia e la geografia dell’Armenia.
Raggiungiamo infine il monastero rupestre di Geghard, sito UNESCO del XIII secolo, in parte scavato nella roccia e famoso per la sua acustica. Qui avrai tempo per visitare le diverse chiese, ascoltare i canti liturgici se presenti e respirare l’atmosfera mistica del luogo.
Dalla zona di Garni scendiamo nella gola del fiume Azat per ammirare la “Sinfonia delle Pietre”, formazioni basaltiche esagonali che creano un effetto di organo naturale. Una passeggiata breve ma scenografica, perfetta per gli amanti della fotografia.
Proseguiamo verso Garni, dove visiteremo l’unico tempio pagano ellenistico sopravvissuto nell’ex URSS, con il suo colonnato ionico affacciato sul canyon. Qui approfondiremo il periodo pre‑cristiano e il ruolo della reggia estiva armena.
Arrivo al Lago Sevan e salita alla penisola per visitare il monastero di Sevanavank, famoso per le sue chiese di pietra nera e per la vista spettacolare sul lago. Tempo libero per foto e per godersi il panorama.

The Ciao Armenia team made the Caucasian stay perfect! We participated in two tours, with perfect organization but also flexible to the needs of the participants. In a small group (6 people) in a minivan with Wi-Fi, with a driver, Leone, who was very kind and friendly, and a spectacular guide, Massimo, who, thanks to his background, did not limit himself to illustrating the beauties of the place but made the experience truly engaging and enriching, managing to help us grasp, with his experience as an Italian cooperator in Armenia, every nuance of the people, their culture, and habits, in addition to having an answer for each of our thousand questions, even about geopolitics. All in a light and cheerful atmosphere. Truly a top experience! Armenia is beautiful, but it is much more so with Ciao Armenia! Thanks to Alex for creating this wonderful reality!
