Ci dirigiamo verso Lower Wenslydale, con la tua guida turistica che ti racconta la storia e le caratteristiche della zona. Attraversando Masham Moor, dove le pecore vagano liberamente tra l'erica e il vasto paesaggio aperto, ci dirigiamo verso Nidderdale. I fantastici panorami e paesaggi sul bacino idrico di Gouthwaite e chilometri di muretti a secco lo rendono perfetto per alcune fantastiche soste fotografiche. Arriviamo alla pittoresca cittadina di Grassington, famosa per il suo ruolo di città immaginaria di "Darrowby" nella nuova serie televisiva "All Creatures Great and Small", trasmessa per la prima volta nel 2020. Qui avrai 1,5 ore di tempo libero per esplorare il negozi, caffè e luoghi delle riprese o persino entrare nel pub Devonshire Arms (The Drovers in All Creatures Great and Small) per un drink con la gente del posto!
Partiamo da Grassington e ci dirigiamo verso le bellissime Linton Falls. È solo a breve distanza in auto quindi, se preferisci, hai la possibilità di fare una breve passeggiata dal parcheggio del Centro visitatori lungo il vecchio sentiero di pietra fino alle cascate di Linton e incontrare la tua guida sul ponte sul fiume Wharfe .
La principale fermata pomeridiana è presso l'Abbazia di Bolton, dove l'ingresso è gratuito e potrai esplorare la chiesa del Priorato e le rovine del Priorato agostiniano del XII secolo nella sua splendida cornice sul fiume, o forse affrontare la sfida dei trampolini se ti senti più avventuroso !
Lasciamo l'abbazia di Bolton per continuare il nostro viaggio attraverso le vallate di ritorno verso York, passando per Harrogate e imparando un po 'la storia di questa famosa città termale.

The scenery of the Dales was spectacular! The trip to Grassington was lovely as I’m an avid fan of All Creatures Great and Small. Our driver Chris was knowledgable, friendly and quite the historian. He also was kind and accommodating, I highly recommend this tour! It would be a great idea to add Helen’s farm into the tour.

We did the Yorkshire Dales trip in June. The landscape was stunning, our driver, Chris, was friendly and knowledgeable, the bus was comfortable, and every stop was well planned. We did a similar Cotswold tour a few years ago, and we liked this even better.
