We took this tour with Lisa who was an amazing guide! The Sacred Path is a beautiful and historic walk through gorgeous grounds with ancient statuary which is a nice break from Beijing. The Ming Tombs themselves are fascinating to see especially when you consider the accidental way they were discovered and then opened up. Lisa kept us to a good pace and told us many fascinating details about the Tombs and the Sacred Path. Ask for Lisa!
We were picked up by our Tour Guide, Mei, from our hotel at the designated time. Mei was excellent with her enthusiasm, knowledge, friendliness, & organisation. The driver also was great. We walked along the Sacred Path & Mei explained everything. Then we went to the Dingling Tomb & Underground Palace, which was fascinating. Additional to the Ming Tombs tour, Mei took us to a Jade & Silk Factory which was great & then we stopped & had a look at the 2008 Olympic Stadium (Bird's Nest) & then showed us parts of Beihai Park, & then found a restaurant for us to have an early dinner that was a block away from our hotel.
