Percorri la Seward Highway lungo la panoramica Turnagain Arm fino a Whittier. La Glacier Quest Cruise ti porta dalla pittoresca cittadina balneare di Whittier alla baia di Blackstone piena di ghiacciai, un drammatico fiordo di acque profonde dove aspettano due ghiacciai di marea e diversi ghiacciai alpini. Vedrai diversi ghiacciai, tra cui il ghiacciaio Tebenkof, che prende il nome da Mikhail Demitrievich Tebenkof, un eccezionale geometra le cui mappe furono le prime carte delle acque dell'Alaska pubblicate nel 1852. Il ghiacciaio Northland riposa maestosamente, aggrappato al bordo della montagna imponente. Blackstone e Beloit sono ghiacciai di marea che hanno scavato un ripido sentiero per raggiungere l'acqua salata del Prince William Sound. Aggiungi il tempo di viaggio da Anchorage a Whittier a 90 minuti a tratta. Da Girdwood a Whittier, calcola 45 minuti. Ti consigliamo di prendere l'ingresso del tunnel delle 11:30 presso l'Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel per accedere a Whittier in tempo per la Glacier Quest Cruise. Il tunnel è aperto mezz'ora dopo l'ora per l'accesso a Whittier. Dopo la crociera, il tunnel apre all'ora di partenza da Whittier fino alle 23:00.

Great crew. Good size vessel. While pretty crowded still a good experience. The density of glaciers was stunning!
This was absolutely fantastic! We got really close to the glaciers and the boat was smooth. The salmon chowder was yummy, and they even gave us fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies at the end.

Amazing trip out to see glaciers. Incredible glacier and wildlife views. Wow! It was rainy and foggy when we left Whittier but still had amazing up close views of the glaciers. Highly recommend this excursion. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good.

Fantastic glacier quest cruise. The entire staff is outstanding from booking, to boarding, and the time onboard the vessel. The entire staff is professional and personable. They get you up close and personal with the glaciers, sea life and sea birds. The seafood chowder is amazing!!!! We’d book this again in a heartbeat and plan to be back again in the future. The pilot was excellent at pointing out landmarks along the way and stopped frequently for longer and closer looks at otters, sea lions, etc. Accommodations on the boat were comfortable and roomy, despite the rainy weather which kept visitors indoors for the most part.

This was such as amazing experience. The entire crew were so friendly and helpful. The Salmon Chowder was really good and my friend enjoyed the Veggie Chili. Our tour had us seeing seals, otters, breaching orcas, and a huge chunk of glacier break off. The crew pulled some fresh glacier ice out for us to enjoy in our drinks.
