Dopo un incantevole viaggio di cinque ore, arriviamo a Siem Reap e iniziamo la nostra visita al magnifico Angkor Wat. Costruito dal re Suryavarman II all'inizio del XII secolo come tempio indù dedicato a Vishnu, si estende per un'incredibile superficie di 162,6 ettari, rendendolo il più grande monumento religioso sulla terra. Immerse in un vasto fossato, le sue cinque torri a bocciolo di loto simboleggiano il monte Meru, sacro nella cosmologia indù. Mentre esploriamo, bassorilievi intagliati in modo intricato raffiguranti epopee indù e quasi 2.000 danzatori di apsara unici ci stupiscono. Questo maestoso tempio, dichiarato Patrimonio dell'Umanità dall'UNESCO, offre uno sguardo mozzafiato sul patrimonio spirituale e architettonico della Cambogia.
Dopo la vostra arricchente visita ad Angkor Wat, l'autista vi accompagnerà al rinomato complesso di Angkor Thom, sede dell'iconico Tempio Bayon. Questo straordinario sito, costruito alla fine del XII secolo dal re Jayavarman VII, è celebrato per la sua affascinante struttura di 54 torri, ognuna caratterizzata da quattro sereni volti sorridenti, per un totale di 216 sculture che guardano che evocano mistero e riverenza. L'ultimo tempio dell'itinerario è Banteay Kdei, un sito tranquillo e meno affollato ricco di storia e fascino. Dopo aver esplorato questo antico tempio, facciamo una pausa pranzo rilassante in un ristorante locale lungo la bellissima piscina reale, conosciuta come Srah Srang. Questo ambiente tranquillo offre un luogo perfetto per rilassarsi e gustare la cucina tradizionale cambogiana. Dopo pranzo, iniziamo il nostro viaggio di ritorno a Phnom Penh, riflettendo sulle incredibili esperienze e attrazioni della giornata. Cambodia provided all our transfers for all trips, we were 5 people. Always on time for departures at 4am, Ste very serious, no surprise everything is negotiated in advance. Respond very quickly for rates and reservations needs. I highly recommend. The vehicles are clean and spacious depending on the number of people and luggage, several choices of vehicles. We did several weekend, kampot, Vietnam, Phnom Pehn airport, sihanoukville at the top
Sarom was my driver and he took the best car of me driving me safely to my destination and offering to take stops along the way including the visit to the incredible bridge in Spean Prabtos and also theological old city of Sambor Prei Kuk. I thought me about the local fruits and snacks and we stopped to taste some of them. It was an incredible journey while learning so many more details about this beautiful country and its wonderful people!
