Ash was our guide and Mohammed our driver. The bus was perfectly on time, it left and arrived when they said it would. The ride was really smooth and Ash guided us through a good portion of the walled town, explaining some of the history and giving us tips on where to go for food, scenic pictures, souvenirs, etc. He also taught us about the history of Mount Saint Michael during the bus ride, and on the trip back, he taught us a little about the history of Paris. They gave us almost four hours to roam around the town, which is perfect por seeing pretty much all it has to offer.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our tour of Mont Saint Michel. The abbey is absolutely stunning, with amazing views from both outside the walls and from the top of the abbey. It is such a surreal experience to see the view of the abbey from outside with nothing but the beach and bridge around it. It really does look like Minas Tirith from Lord of the Rings. The view from the top is also very impressive and it's such a peaceful feeling to see nothing but the surrounding fields and the low or high tide. Unfortunately, the experience was just a bit marred by two things: the length of the drive from Paris means you're only able to about three and a half hours at Mont St Michel and the overall crowding in July added to stress levels. The lines are long and it's absolutely crowded. Walking through the streets of the cramped town is a chore!
The trip to st Michel was awesome. It took 8 hrs round trip to get there and only 3.5 hrs in the abbey. It was too rushed to really appreciate the visit. The tour guide was knowledgeable and patient but she spoke so softly that we can barely hear her. I think it’s Better to take the train and do it yourself so you can take your time to visit the abbey.
This was a lovely day trip to Mont Saint Michel. I was worried about the long bus trip of 4 hours each way but the journey was very comfortable with a stop after 2 hours. Our guide Dee was very knowledgeable & approachable. Mont Saint Michel is beautiful with lots to see & plenty of places to eat. We ate in a seafood restaurant which specialised in mussels & oysters. The moules mariniere were excellent & highly recommend. You were given plenty of time to explore either by yourself or with the guide. We chose to explore ourselves to allow more freedom. Would have no hesitation in recommending this trip.
This was a great tour. I was concerned about the long bus ride but it was not so bad. We left Paris at 7am and stopped at a rest area after two hours. We had several hours at Mont Saint Michele and we were back in Paris by 8:30. Our tour guide was Angela Anthony. She shared her favorite spots in Paris as well which was nice. Definitely worth the journey!
Wonderful one day trip outside Paris. Beautiful and amazing Le Mont St Michael. Delicious Omelette Soufflé, a lot of cookie, candy…..to shop
The initial 'check in' was confusing, with many touts leaving at the same time. The first rest stop was a shambles, again for the same reasom (many buses and therefore people all trying to obtain food anf drink within a limited time). However our bus was comfortable, our guide Angela was informative, fun and caring, the scenery on the way was delightful. The destination was fabulous (although very crowded). Overall a great day.
Angela Anthony is wonderful! Bus is clean and comfortable and I didn’t spill my coffee; haha. Loved the soft transition of Angela’s voice to give helpful information and invitations to relax.
Angela Anthony was our tour guide and she was the highlight of our journey to the tour. She was full of good vibes, warm, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great time and she even gave us suggestions of things to do while in Paris.
Angela Antoney was a wonderfully vibrant and knowledgeable guide. She was kind, energetic and seemed to have a genuine interest in the material she shared with us.
