Il tour inizia quando prendiamo tutti gli "amanti della natura" da l'hotel in un autobus molto comodo per il trasferimento di 1 ora e mezza al ponte di San Emilio del Rio Frío
Progettato appositamente per gli amanti della natura, questo tour ti porta attraverso il Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, un'area protetta delle zone umide designata come sito di Ramsar grazie a un'importanza ecologica. Dopo la mattinata, prendi in braccio la tua risata Fortuna Hotel e raggiungi la piccola città di Los Chiles, situata vicino al confine con il Nicaragua. Sali a bordo di una barca per il viaggio lungo il Río Frío, che si snoda attraverso uno degli habitat più biodiversi in Costa Rica. 1.45 hour bus trip to venue. Quality depends on getting a good guide. Lunch was good and boat trip excellent but the numbers of birds/animals depends on water levels

We wanted to see wildlife and we did see 3 different types of monkeys, some birds and cayman, even babies. We were fed a traditional Costa Rican lunchtime meal and it was true to their crusine and good. The had a fruit platter and drinks for us when we first arrived which was greatly appreciated. After the boat ride, we had a demonstration of how sugar cane is harvested, as well as a tasting of sugar cane alcohol. They also had fresh coffee made the old fashion way and pure chocolate to make hot chocolate which I tried with the pure sugar and hmmmmmmmm good. The bus ride to and from the river was a bit long but worth it. The guide was excellent, as well as the boat and bus drivers.
Wow, what a great day you had out there! Three types of monkeys, birds, and baby caimans — that’s honestly one of those tours where everything just comes together perfectly. So glad the food hit the mark too. The sugar cane, the fresh coffee, the chocolate — those are the little moments guests tend to remember long after the trip. If you are over 5’5”, you will find the knees hitting the seat in front of you for over an hour and a half each way. Thought it was more of river cruise, but boat would stop for 15 minutes to see one howler monkey Very slow, relatively boring, cramped bus Not that enjoyable
