Nazaré è il luogo dove si trovano le onde più grandi del mondo, a volte alte dai 30 ai 32 metri
Il Monastero di Santa Maria da Vitória, chiamato anche Monastero di Batalha, è senza dubbio una delle opere più belle dell'architettura portoghese ed europea. Questo eccezionale complesso architettonico è il risultato dell'adempimento di una promessa fatta dal re D. João I, in segno di gratitudine per la vittoria ad Aljubarrota, una battaglia combattuta il 14 agosto 1385, che assicurò il trono e garantì l'indipendenza del Portogallo. I lavori sono durati per più di 150 anni, attraverso diverse fasi di costruzione. Questa durata giustifica l'esistenza, nelle sue proposte artistiche, di soluzioni gotiche manueline (predominanti) e di una breve nota rinascimentale. Diverse aggiunte furono introdotte nel progetto iniziale, risultando in un vasto complesso monastico che attualmente comprende una chiesa, due chiostri con annessi e due pantheon reali, la Cappella del Fondatore e le Cappelle Imperfette. Monumento nazionale, inserito nella World Heritage List definita dall'UNESCO, dal 1983.

Il Santuario di Fátima, intitolato dalla Chiesa cattolica come Santuario di Nostra Signora del Rosario di Fátima, è un santuario mariano dedicato a Nostra Signora di Fátima, situato a Cova da Iria, nella città di Fátima. Il Santuario di Fátima è, per eccellenza, un luogo di pellegrinaggio cristiano e devozione cattolica, che conserva la memoria degli eventi che hanno portato alla sua fondazione, ovvero le apparizioni della Madonna ai tre pastori - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco e Jacinta Marto - nel 1917 La sua grandezza e rilevanza dal punto di vista religioso è stata da tempo ampiamente riconosciuta, a livello nazionale e internazionale. È anche uno dei santuari mariani più importanti del mondo e una delle principali destinazioni internazionali del turismo religioso, con circa sei milioni di visitatori all'anno. Si è distinto con tre rose d'oro papali e visitato dai papi Paolo VI (1967), João Paulo II (1982, 1991 e 2000), Benedetto XVI (2010) e Francisco (2017). La sua costruzione iniziò nel 1919.

We used Antonio twice during our stay and found him to be excellent. He went over and above to assist us in every way. His tours were amazing showing us areas not on the typical tourist map. His vehicle was comfortable and he supplied water bottles all day. He was very generous with his time and best of all pointed out bathroom stops at every sight we visited. 10/10 for us!

We did a shorter tour, but that was the charm of it, that we took our time for each place we were at. Antonio was a great guide, and the organization was impeccable. A particularly nice surprise was the local restaurant recommended by Antonio for lunch. Many thanks to Antonio for an unforgettable tour! I recommend 101%

This tour was a highlight of my month stay in Portugal. So happy I found Antonio. As a solo traveler, this was an excellent adventure and I was able to visit some extraordinary places. I highly recommend him to solo and small group travelers. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Omg. The entire day was amazing. Antonio, our guide was so kind and knowledgeable. He made the day very special. The gardens with Buddha are just spectacular. The caves are unbelievable. I would highly highly highly recommend this tour with Antonio. Please request him.

We had a wonderful full day trip with Antonio. Due to forest fire warning in the area we couldn’t do the planned trip, but luckily Antonio has a plan b, which frankly seemed to be even better :)

The trip was so very well organized. Antonio gave us a choice of several stops that had different things to see and visit. Once we made the selections we were off. He took a lot of backroads which had stunning scenery and avoiding traffic jams. Lunch was delicious. Great restaurant with lovely servers! We visited Obidos and walked along the moors castle then took a stroll thru medieval streets. Off to batalha monastery. Beautiful cathedral. Visited Fatima sanctuary and final stop Nazare. This location has beautiful beaches. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend António!

This place is huge and a bit overwhelming. I like the fact that you can you for hourse just gazing at amazing stuff. No need for the train though. Also I would like more guidance - digital - when cruising.
Sintra roads were closed so we were able to reschedule different venues for the day. It was lovely to see other areas of the beautiful countryside

Thanks to Antonio, we were able to visit Nazaré and its surroundings in a very pleasant and comfortable way. All his explanations concerning the places visited brought us a better knowledge of Portugal both culturally, economically and socially. We visited places we would never have gone alone I think.
